  1. The brewers do have the 2nd best offense in the NL so far. And that includes more games w/o Braun than with him. That has nothing to do with my point. This game has been about bad Cubs pitching. Where was all their good offense after the first inning yesterday? Good pitching stiffles good hitting. So then would bad pitching stiffle bad hitting? Obviously the pitching has sucked today, but we've seen many games where the cubs have been blanked by less than par pitching. You claim this "isn't the amazing Brewers offense", and my point is that hell yes it is (partially). Not 100%, but its got something to do with it. I hate it when the opponent claims they screwed up in a loss and my team had nothing to win - it doesn't feel right when we do the same about our team. especially when considering the cubs are well above average in the pitching department.
  2. Probably because you don't watch the games of other teams as often or pay attention to their players as closely. Every team gets hot, every team gets cold. The good teams are hottest for the longest, and vice versa. too true, which is why baseball is a liar.
  3. he decided he was swinging on every one of those pitches, like only a cub does.
  4. do you think hendry's going to make a move that actually helps the team this season?
  5. 2 of our most patient guys chasing everything. that never ever happens to any other team, that i can remember.
  6. that sounds like matt vasgersian. is he calling the game for FOX or something? i think so, i can't remember.
  7. this is just a "wrong side of the bed" day, huh? It is now. relax, i can't recall ever having a problem with you, no sense in starting now. Uh, I'm talking about the crappy game we're all in the thread about putting me in a bad mood. for the record, "my sideways non-argument" was that the brewers have little, if any lineup weakness that i can tell.

  9. Yes. Both Hill and Marshall are good pitchers who sucked in their most recent starts. THAT'S WHAT I SAID. Jesus Christ. I was agreeing with you. Settle down, skippy. Sorry. I ended my post with "am I wrong" and then you seemingly replied with "yes," so I thought you were trying to have the same sideways non-argument with me sulley is. would you stop being so insulting? no one's out to get you.
  10. Or they just get the lucky break of facing Eyre. Teeing off on him really isn't that impressive. eyre started the game and gave up 7 over 2? OK, they faced two crappy pitchers today. As we saw yesterday, good pitching shuts them down, just like anyone else. marshall pitched exceptionally this year, wouldn't you agree? Which doesn't magically make him a good pitcher today. doesn't make him a crappy pitcher, either? i wasn't the one making those kind of statements. I'm making the statement that Marshall is a crappy pitcher today, just like Hill was yesterday. Am I wrong? the brewers certainly made him look crappy.
  11. Or they just get the lucky break of facing Eyre. Teeing off on him really isn't that impressive. eyre started the game and gave up 7 over 2? As much as he has been good before today, Sean Marshall is not projected to be a front of the rotation starter in the MLB. He is a decent starter who pitched an awful game. That happens. If you were watching him pitch, then you saw that he was unable to get his curveball below the belt for the whole game, and it cost him. i never said he was. again, i wasn't making the hyperbolic statements about him.

  13. Their pitcher is their weakness. i'd disagree, their pitching is good enough. not great, but good enough.

  15. i seriously don't see a lineup weakness for the brewers right now. possibly when mench starts, but that's it.

  17. the brewers only swing at strikes. they're well trained.
  18. i think the brewers, after yesterday, have decided to stop screwing around.
