  1. "foul on arch"
  2. that one guy kind of looks like one of the inglorious basterds.
  3. iowa is really white and not in a duke kind of way.
  4. of course. only your teams not really, but i'm just not surprised.
  5. of course.
  6. yep, i'd rather have weis than martz.
  7. what the [expletive]?
  8. i'm not a bruce-hater at all, i'm just hoping we get some tourney wins soon. oh, and if bruce benches richmond, i can't see the kid keeping his mouth shut. he'll lose him.
  9. Not for almost an entire year. He had to hold a fake funeral. I'm done here. It's beyond ridiculous. here - Bruce is the devil incarnate that is out to purposefully ruin the life of his prize recruits. nah, i don't think he's trying to ruin anything. he's just more interested in teaching things that don't relate to basketball.
  10. i think deron had the right amount of grit. whatever, enough kids see you bench your talented players and they'll just stop coming. i don't think bruce should be fired, he should just play the kids and stop trying to teach lessons, it's not working. paul is going to be [expletive] star if bruce doesn't ruin him.
  11. bruce is getting real good at teaching life lessons, notsomuch at coaching basketball. he needs to remember who his big recruits are and play them or risk losing any in the future. Yeah, gave Jordan a big hug when he subbed out. Didn't even talk to Paul. One is a top40 player in his class and a future pro. The other is an awful basketball player. Of course Bruce is tight with the crappy one. oh, good lord. still, i'm wondering why paul gets pulled whenever he takes the ball to the hole and doesn't finish and keller never ever ever passes and stays in. maybe weber is just more comfortable coaching lousy players with grit.

  13. i want an offensive coordinator that runs a lot of shotgun sets, i want to see it on first and second downs. i want cutler to be encouraged to call his own plays, if need be. but most of all, i want to see a pocket like the one tom brady gets. go sign logan [expletive] mankins, plz.
  14. if we get cowher, he better bring dick lebeau, which won't happen.
  15. martz's offense isn't exactly an easy one to implement and is highly contingent on timing. meaning, the wide receivers need to be able to read, and i'm not too sure about knox and hester.
  16. Those sound like pretty marginal changes. The fact that our new OC will be working for a coach on the hot seat (read: lame duck) will limit our choices. A new DC will be brought in, but again, for a lame duck coach and likely another Lovie type guy. So the defense will essentially be the same -- unless Lovie magically decides we should try a new defense. replacing your offense isn't a marginal move. especially when you're possibly talking going from turner to martz. not that that is a great thing in and of itself, but martz's offense is way different. as for defense, we all knew that if lovie stayed, so would the tampa-2, and i don't think lovie getting fired was an option. this is the best we could hope for. if a new offense works, lovie's not a lame duck. i have a feeling that angelo will be quite active in the FA market this offseason.
  17. http://www.suntimes.com/sports/mulligan/1971407,ron-turner-out-lovie-smith-returns-010410.article changes will most probably happen.
  18. I'm sure they had an idea going in that they were going to draft o-line with the first pick, so taking Chris Williams instead of Chris Johnson doesn't really bother me. By the time their 2nd rounder came up, Johnson was already gone. So I guess I'm just wondering what they saw in Forte that they liked over Rice and Charles. i don't know, they thought he'd be better? good luck playing the hindsight game, though. i'm sure they were higher on your board.
  19. but what i'm saying is that it's dumb to be pissed at something like the bears passing on two backs that other teams passed over to take a back that was rated higher on most boards when there are far greater things to be pissed off at the organization about. they passed on chris johnson and twice on desean jackson, too. do you want to talk about those guys as well?
  20. but this is awesome. jay cutler comes to the bears and has a terrible year, yet still manages to throw more tds than all but 2 people in bears history, for more yards than all but 1 player in bears history, more tds than ints, while completing more than 60% of his passes. what's going to happen if his line and receiving corp improve?
  21. that guy is just fat and bad.
  22. davis is an old, incontinent man. but he is not why mcfadden sucks.
  23. and every single team in the nfl would have taken darren mcfadden far higher than either of them. like i said, i don't get it. drafting matt forte ahead of rice and charles is not something bears fans should be red-assed over.
