    Geez. I was just wondering how stoked your PBP guy was when you cut Eastern Michigan's lead to two with 1:14 left. Don't know why you're being such a dick about it. haha

    I'd love to be wrong, but I just think Gonzaga is going to be able to outscore UI. Foul problems could become trouble for Abrams/Egwu in a tough environment too. I list them because they're backups suck and UI needs them. egwu is the one that sucks He's a big man who's not even halfway through his sophomore year, he's got a lot of time. He needs to get to the foul line more and be more physical rebounding, but he's certainly taking a back seat to a Senior class playing very well right now (Griffey, Paul, Richardson...even McLaurin a bit maybe). Other than Paul he's still the only player on the team that has a shot at the NBA. Big guys take longer to develop, you know this. He will be fine. i don't see it. he's a big goof thus far, i don't know what that means for his chances of playing in the nba. probably a bad thing.

    I think we will compete. We've played to the opponent a lot this year. we'll compete, but probably still lose by 10 or more. there is a chance we shoot well and win.

    no doubt we'd love to have some elite talent. but really the only way to compete with the kentuckys and kansas's of the world is to get and develop 4-star players. illinois is the most experienced team in the conference, and i have to think that will pay off throughout the year. they've also been to the pit of despair and had a taste of the dog-[expletive]. that that builds character.
