they are a group of mercenaries without country or loyalty. master blaster has already thrown the coach under the bus and there's just no controlling lord humungus. they are heartless savages and will ultimately find their end against a less-talented but more contingent team. when all is said and done these guns for hire won't even care, their goal is only to make more money, a championship would ring hollow to them, anyway, as they have no souls.

Yeah, it's pretty ridiculous to assume getting Amare would be a lock to win a championship, but we needed a power forward with some offensive ability pretty badly. It would definitely improve the team. I think you're a few years behind the times. LeBron used to be a guy that needed someone to hit the big shots, but not anymore. I understand that you probably don't get to see many Cavs games, but LeBron has been clutch in big moments for a few years now. I don't think you can really count the ECF from last year because, to be honest, a few of those games weren't even all that close. Howard (and, subsequently, the 3-point shooters) absolutely owned the Cavs. Did you watch LeBron vs. the Magic recently? He closed that game out entirely by himself. Even the baskets he didn't personally make were created by his drive-and-dish game. i'm just guaranteeing that the cavs don't win the title.

I don't mind them, but Barlow's a punk, and Kramer is a flopping, foul on every play Duke wannabe. i root for every big ten that has more final four appearances than iowa.

Is anybody here talking about Michigan, Minnesota or Iowa? No, because they aren't very good and aren't located in the Chicagoland area. If a cabal of fans means about four then OK. But It's not like we're crawling out of the woodwork here. The Purdue hate from Illini fans, or fans of pretenders like ND or BSU is very similar to White Sox fans hate for the Cubs. Did my team win today? Nope. Oh well, Purdue still sucks. Classy. lol, wut?

Illinois is 23rd in the country (1st in the Big Ten) at opponent's 3 point % 40% of their opponent's field goal attempts are 3s (14th highest in the country.) I don't agree with sulley that OSU is a bunch of chuckers, but his rants aren't without merit. i never said they were chuckers, i said they were chucking today.

iowa is always down 20. they still have more of a basketball tradition than purdue, though.

remember when i got ridiculed for saying lebron was a clown and would never win a championship without a guy to take the big shots? yeah amare isn't the guy. the cavs still lose in the playoffs.

ohio state is a talented, athletic team, which is why i find their "chucking it like there's no tomorrow" strategy strange because they normally don't shoot a lot of 3s. Ohio State shot 21 threes Illinois shot 23. 14 of those were in the 2nd half when they were down by 20.

illinois has been to the championship game, an elite 8 and 2 sweet sixteens in the last 9 years if you want to get specific.

Wisconsin is just a glorified Iowa and wasn't a big win unless you're talking about msu. Both those statements are fantastic. You don't beat MSU if Lucas plays. And a team that's made the tourney 12 years in a row (counting this year, as they are a lock) and has had 20+ wins in 7 of 8 years isn't a glorified anything. wisconsin is a chucking team that simply is a little better at it than iowa. they've regularly underachived (and always will) in the tournament because ryan runs a gutless, chucking offense that allows any crappy team to play with them at any given time.
