Can't speak for NC, but having lived for a minimum of two years in Indy (2), Baltimore (2), Dallas (3) and Orange county (6) I can see building up an allegiance to teams from cities you spend a bunch of time in. I'll admit to having maintained my allegiance to Phil Jackson when he moved to LA as he arrived right around the same time I did. I still like the Bulls far more than the Lakers, but I'll cheer for the Lakers over any team but the Bulls in the finals. I still have a lot of friends out there that are huge Lakers fans. That said, I have even more friends in Dallas, but still hate the Cowboys. :) eh, i've lived in seattle and denver, too, and while i enjoyed attending the games there (the first nfl game i ever went to was a seahawks-jaguars game at husky stadium, first nba game i ever went to was seattle-bulls during the ron artest years at key arena and the first nba playoff game i ever went to was minnesota-denver at the pepsi center) those teams don't even cross my mind when i think of teams i like. those spots are reserved for my teams, the chicago teams.

i don't know how you guys can do second and third favorite teams. my favorite team is the bears, my second favorite team is my fantasy team. my least favorite team is the eagles and whomever is playing the bears.

would much rather have played belarus. hiller kind of scares me at this point.

They're also coached by John Beilein, who's made 3-point shooting his M.O. his entire career (WVU was the chuckingest team who ever chucked when he was their coach). oh, absolutely, beilein is the king of chuckers, a title previously held by tom coverdale.

it was pretty much the same exact thing as the out of bounds call off of cole at the end of the wisco game. the refs absolutely hate the illini.

damn, you missed the most intense parts. the last 3 minutes were out of control That 90 seconds or so when the canucks had them pinned in the zone just prior to the EN goal, I was 100% sure they were going to score. I might have to go back and watch that game again tonight. now that i know that they don't score, yes. i was jumping up and down scaring my wife and children, pleading with the americans to clear the [expletive] puck, they just couldn't get possession.
