this may be the unpopular opinion, but i thought nagasu had a better long program than rochette and rochette got the bronze because her mom died a few days ago.

Why hopefully? Hopefully Martz fixes this inept offense, which just happens to include a disappointing TE, and stays for a while. and if olsen is less valuable at receiver than someone who actually plays receiver in martz's offense, why play him out of position if you can get something for him? martz has said that he won't play a tight end at receiver when he can put a receiver at that position. olsen will play tight end and he will learn to block or he will not play for the bears anymore.

Whatever, it's in their home country and they spent a crapload of money preparing their athletes for these games. Why wouldn't they deserve what they've achieved? because they're losers?

[expletive] off canada, what a crock of [expletive]. sorry, getting some frustration out, but there's no reason why they should have won more gold medals than anyone in history in a year we set the medal mark. especially with china doing virtually the same thing in 2008.

and it looks like the home country for the second olympics in a row is going to take home the most golds, after meh showings for pretty much ever.

Not so much, IMO. He made his point (canadian judge, he didnt really push the guy, canadian won gold/silver, etc) but he did it with a smile and right away moved on to talking about the next race he was going to be in. I like the way he handled it, personally. And yeah, if simply having your hand on someone means you get DQ'd, then sure, he deserved it. But the guy who won gold did the same thing, and actually pushed (unlike Ohno), and he didn't get a damn thing. Pretty pathetic. Saying that it's a Canadian judge who called it because they're on Canadian soil was a bit too much especially because every time someone else gets DQd or falls and it benefits Ohno he does the whole "well, that's short track" thing. This time he was quick to blame it on the ref because it didn't go his way for once. Did anyone watch the women's relay final? What the Koreans did to the Chinese wasn't anywhere near as bad as what Ohno did (nobody fell, for one) and they were DQd from a gold medal. so, why didn't hameline or whatever his name is get dq'd?

unless no one offers him the money, i wouldn't expect peppers. all things being equal, southerners prefer warmer weather and peppers has voiced his desire to play olb in a 3-4. i'm going to plead ignorance, and this is not a rhetorical question, but when is the last time a big-time free agent that wasn't old as hell signed in a cold weather city with a sub .500 team and without a domed playing field?
