  1. hey eddie, who did you pick to score the game winning goal in overtime in game 3? huh? huh? was it ville leino? [expletive] off with your non-partisanship.
  2. they were once a great team, that's all i know
  3. Yep. Aside from maybe the Rangers winning, I doubt there's anything the NHL would've liked more than this. blackhawks-rangers would break every kind of record.
  4. some parts that made me giggle: and
  5. GIRLS, WE'LL BE BACK FOR YOU LATER!
  6. a successful blackhawks team is a dream come true for the nhl.
  7. i love how he's only concerned about how many girls the stanley cup is going to get him. he's always talking about how the girls are going to like him more now. i'm like, how much more can the girls like you? you're a professional athlete, hell Q probably has 5 mistresses.
  8. wish they'd have the celebration in grant park.
  9. and the girl i saw had black hair.
  10. i was thinking about this before i went to bed. it's so absurd that marty lapointe was once the captain of this team. aucoin wore the A. what a worthless free agent class that was but i guess at least the franchise was trying and bulin wasn't a towering inferno-type disaster. According to wiki, Aucoin was the captain after Zhamnov and before Lapointe. yeah, bad memories, literally. i was excited for that team, and then they changed the rules to award actual hockey teams.
  11. Hockey teams are basically dbag central. i saw him skating with his girlfriend/wife after the win and iirc, she was kind of jersey shorish.

  13. What if we don't win the draft lottery to get Kane? What if we don't lose the draft lottery to get stuck with Barker instead of Ovechkin or Malkin? Here's a fantastic one: What if Niemi doesn't beat out Crawford on the last day of exhibition season? what if we took anze kopitar instead of jack skille?
  14. On a dramatic, overtime game winner by the face of the franchise, to cap off an epic six-game series of high-scoring, one-goal games. :yahoo: after nearly being eliminated in the first round by a 7 seed, if not for a SH goal with seconds remaining and then an additional 4 minutes of PK in OT (if we go down 3-2 in that series, then the odds are that nashville would have won) and after being embarrassed in game 1 of the second series, followed by going down 2-0 immediately in game 2. seriously, i always forget about that. we looked COMPLETELY done when we went down 2-0 in game 2 of the vancouver series. i remember that's when i was watchin an online deef and could hear the announcers talking to each other during commercial breaks, saying stuff like "they are completely paralyzed", "they cant skate", and "i cant believe how lost they look" and then they went 12-3 it just took us 4 periods to adjust to playing hockey again.
  15. oh, and when Roenick started talking about that kid he saw who was crying his eyes out as he left the ice after getting closed out by the pens, i nearly lost it. i remember belfour smashing his stick against the boards before leaving the ice and being in disbelief that it was over. i wasn't the specific fan he was talking about, but that was me. roenick and chelios were like supermen to me, and i think roenick understands that he let a lot of people down and carries a lot of guilt and shame, not just for himself, but for chicago. he was our hero, our hockey god that failed.
  16. it just felt like we'd win a huge game by a slim margin, and then have to do it again a couple nights later, seemingly for an indefinite period of time this went on. no matter how many big games there were and no matter how many we won, there was always another one and another white-knuckler. that's just the way it felt. i can only imagine what the players were going through and how long of a journey it was for them.
  17. in portland he used to pretend to be re-tarded and eat buckets of chicken wings at pcs. like me at the grocery store.
  18. also, you don't fully realize the signifance and the emotion that goes into the hoisting of the cup until it's your team doing it. i guarantee that no matter who wins the cup from here on out (so long as they're not playing the hawks), i will watch that ceremony and i will understand.
  19. anybody see this? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kFuc4-ZpYJs&feature=player_embedded
  20. Columbia Lions, Roar Lions Roar!!! didn't lou gehrig play football there?
  21. this is true, and they won the cup. Not that they will not be a contender next season, but this off season would have a different feel about it if the Hawks didnt win and they had to sell off some peaces to make the cap. Yes, probably while we all flipped out after game 3 and 4. This was our best shot for the next couple of years most likely. detroit's corps isn't getting any younger or better. toews is going to be molesting them for years, no worries. Lidstrom and Rafalski are the only core players on the Wings who are past prime. Wings haters have been talking about how old they are since 97, yet they havent collapsed yet. I expect this rivalry to be fun for several years. compared to hawks' core, they're ancient. most of them are around hossa's age while the hawks have, well, hossa around hossa's age. what's better is that the young hawks nucleus is not inexperienced and is playoff-hardened.
  22. it's over for usc for a while.

  24. all around the league, fans are concocting scenarios in which the hawks won't be good. don't worry, i believe the cap gurus we have running things will find a way for the hawks to be competitive with the likes of the wings and canucks. your hells are not over quite yet.
