  1. the problem being, the 6th year of a hometown contract is dependent upon raises he gets for being on the team. a new contract cannot pay him 28 mil right off the bat, if we are assuming the exact same cba that we have today, and can only pay him a bit more than half of that. i'm not thinking this will be a huge deal to lebron anyway. it's a bigger deal to guys like bosh and wade. as long as lebron doesn't donate free bulls tickets to service men and women and then try to write them off every year for many years, he won't be hurting for money. he'll be close to a billionaire when he's done playing basketball either way.
  2. If you miss out on the free agents you look like the poor man's Eastern Conference version of the Jazz with weaker role players. And a weaker point guard. Of course, if the Jazz don't adequately replace Boozer, then they're probably worse than the Bulls. pretty much.
  3. If you miss out on the free agents you look like the poor man's Eastern Conference version of the Jazz with weaker role players. i wish we had a superstar like the jazz do.
  4. this was bothering me. i fixed it for you. What? I'm saying it's somewhat shaky to assume the reporter's story is based on reliable information. Flames is saying that can't possibly be true, Derrick Rose is a genius When asked about LeBron and Bosh a week ago, Rose said, "They would be fools not to come here." I'll trust that over anything a Cavs source has to say about our situation.
  5. haha, yeah, they may leave an off-color stain on the sidewalk, careful not to offend. it's okay, though, apparently they have celtic fans to do all of worrying for them.
  6. speaking of if this were happening in chicago: i get the idea that if lebron left town, chicagoans would blow the city up, there would be liquor store structure-fires everywhere, aks in the streets, maybe a hydrogen bomb on his way out of town. if he leaves cleveland, i think those fans will just cease to be, like marty mcfly if his dad never punched out biff and scored with his mom. there is a quiet, panicked desperation in these people, they somehow don't know how to act in these situations. they're going to put down their heads and disappear or turn to dust and be taken away by light breeze without so much as yip, just close your eyes and think of the wonders of the universe.
  7. if lebron played in chicago, people would all be freaking the [expletive] out because he's not announcing where he's going during his camp. there's a lot to read into there and no one is really mentioning it. that goes for wade, too.
  8. that cavs beat reporter is a hilarious homer, though, as are pretty much any cleveland sources. not that i don't buy it.
  9. That's waaay too young to keel over & die. probert always had trouble getting off of the ice
  10. by the way, jason goff was on the radio for 3 hours today and he's sticking to his story.
  11. still holding out hope that ricketts will hire beane. if he doesn't he should go, too
  12. so, are the days of the big servers/no ground stroke players finished at wimbledon? and i'm not saying federer is one of those players, obviously, he's just some jerk that's really good at tennis and has absolutely no marketability in the US.
  13. are you [expletive] going to make me tell you to relax?
  14. It might be true. Cleveland's roster is as good as it's going to get right now. Their cap situation is pretty grim over the next few years, so there's not much room for improvement. LeBron should know this, too. obviously there are no guarantees, but really, if he goes back to cleveland, winning won't be the primary reason, right? i mean, if he didnt have ties to cleveland, would they even be in the discussion anymore? that being said, i still think he resigns with the cavs. he's going to go back to cleveland because he's in the truman show and everyone there, by which i mean 10-15 fat, white people and ugly white kids as he drives by, holds up signs that say "home".
  15. and the [expletive] kids were a nice touch.
  16. JESUS CHRIST who is producing this [expletive]? It looks like something an 8 year old made on windows movie maker? What an abortion FAMILY TEAM WINNING PRESTIGE WORLDWIDE WIDE WIDE first couple minutes reminded me of the truman show.
  17. bucher hasn't been close to right yet, so i don't really care about him. goff is a guy on the ground in chicago, he might have some kind of story brewing. until anything is confirmed nobody knows anything anyway.
  18. i take that back, just found it. goff's cool, real cool. i trust him, but he did say lebron to the chi was a lock.
  19. they aren't talking about the goff tweet at realgm at all.
  20. and try not to puke on the superstar during the power point presentation.
  21. perhaps speaking with dr evil will change your mind, lebron
  22. with the team he has. i said lebron needs more. I know this is going to turn into an argument but.. The Cavs have more than the Bulls do in talent right now. and i disagree.
  23. with the team he has. i said lebron needs more.
