  1. Bears miss playoffs, check. Illini get beaten by worst team in big ten, check. week's goin great
  2. purdue sure took the air out the ball
  3. something weird is [expletive] going on cosmically
  4. missing every open shot now
  5. if there were ever justice in the universe, there isn't, but if there were, we would hit a lucky 3 here
  6. these refs are absolutely oozing filth
  7. purdue plays an absolutely disgusting brand of basketball at both ends of the court. they foul every single time down.
  8. i'd really love to see marinelli stick with us as DC.
  9. he was a crap pro coach anyway
  10. it seems like mccoy is the flavor of the week, but i don't know what he hangs his hat on. so he's flexible, great, he does a few things well, but what does he do that's great? i have confidence in emery to do his due diligence in regards to analysis, but clements has a track record for making quarterbacks. hire clements and you're hiring a guy who can develop jay, but not only that, he can develop jay's successor. that's what he does great and that's very translatable to winning.
  11. i posted this on the last page. but yes, they'll be able to interview clements through the 13th if the packers win. hopefully that will be all it takes to get him hired.
  12. He's white Lovie. Offensive coach, gone thru many d coordinators. Hasn't won anything despite being mildly successful in the regular season. 1 SB appearance. hey hey hey He's also fat Lovie. no, he's fat jeff fisher.
  13. he has about as much chance at saban as the cavs have at getting lebron back.
  14. So, worst case scenario is to interview him, we may have to wait out Green Bay's playoff run, right? If that IS the case, would we be willing to do that? i hope so. i don't see the urgency, really.
  15. Interesting. His first decision may have to be to cut Kolb though. He makes a ton of money and isn't very good. I don't think they can go into the season with Kolb at QB and just hope Reid makes a huge difference. If SF is willing to deal within the division, I think this is where Alex Smith goes. Though with Reid, they could draft a QB too. i think they take a look at trading a pick for Matt Flynn maybe.
  16. January 13 - Assistant coaches under contract with playoff teams that won Wild Card games may be interviewed for head coaching positions through the conclusion of Divisional Playoff games. http://www.ninersnation.com/2012/12/31/3821974/nfl-black-monday-rules-for-interviewing-49ers-assistant-coaches
  17. During the Season Teams may not interview assistants from another team for either a lateral move or a head coaching opportunity during the season. The lone exception to this rule comes when teams want to interview assistants for head coaching jobs while the current team is in the playoffs. As there is an urgency to hire new head coaches for some non-playoff teams, the NFL does allow teams to request permission to interview a postseason participant's assistants during the wild card week for teams who have the bye that week. They can also request permission to do so during the first week of Super Bowl preparations as long as there is a two-week break between the conference championships and the Super Bowl. The team only has one chance to talk to the assistant coach, once permission is granted, before the coach's team is eliminated from the playoffs. 18. they wouldn't deny him a chance to interview for one of the most prestigious jobs in sports, would they?
  19. and technically, we don't need those red-assed [expletive] permission
  20. He talked a lot about stats inc. The guy is a stathead. Makes me feel good. I also truly believe that Jake Long is a Chicago Bear.
  21. i am also not crazy about a special teams coach possibility.
  22. He took Kyle Orton and make him a near 4000 yard passer. Then he changed the offense completely to fit Tebows mess. Consistent running game for all his teams. I think his best attribute is being to use his players to best fit their strengths. i'd rather have a system coach.
