  1. my crazy levels are actually very disappointing in real life. however, my children definitely fit the bill.
  2. that's not a wow. i'm sure he's been trying to figure a way out of crazytown for a while.
  3. carmichael has the backing of brees and the new orleans pedigree. he's called the plays and been successful doing it, so much that payton himself relinquished play-calling duties to the guy. he's had continued success in the same type of high-octane passing offense. i'm talking myself into carmichael, i think i'm about even with him and clements, with clements being there because his departure would ding green bay. and aso maybe because of my belief that rodgers and cutler are two sides of the same coin.
  4. i'm not comparing him to tice, just using him as an example.
  5. my problem with that kind of ideology is that sometimes you need to force people to develop. cutler can do all the crap that tice wanted him to do, too. that wasn't the problem.
  6. Wise move. arians is 60, though, and i'm not a huge fan of his offenses.
  7. Considering how much I've envied the Saints for having Payton, getting his OC would be a great option. plus, he's been successful as a play-caller, too. when payton came back from his broken leg in 2011, he let carmichael continue calling the plays because he wasso good at it. he looks like a total nerd, too, which is kind of cool.
  8. the more i read about Carmichael, the more I like him. plus he's a guy we could hire right away.
  9. but he designs the game plan. i know a lot of packer fans that love the game plan but hate the playcalling of mccarthy.
  10. I'm highly valuing that flexibility. We've had such rigid, unimaginative coaches in the past, imo, and that ability to make the most out of what you have is important to me. I love what Clements has done, but also, he has a lot of talent, so I have questions about what he'd do to make this offense work. But I do like him as well, and would be thrilled if he was hired. fair enough, but i don't trust Denver without Manning.
  11. why mccoy? sell me on him. i understand that he's flexible, but what do you think his vision would be?
  12. my top candidates are: 1. Tom Clements 2. Pete Carmichael 3. Mike McCoy
  13. i an tell you at the very least that Green Bay doesn't want to lose Clements, and they definitely don't want to lose him to the Bears.
  14. this is the NFL, there's not much difference between winning now and building for later. the only players you are allowed much time to develop are quarterbacks, and Clements is #1 with them. he can develop Cutler's successor while Cutler is winning super bowls. i can dream.
  15. exactly, he's still my top choice, too. he'll be around long enough.
  16. Hm, I'm not sure I'd consider a guy who developed some pretty good QBs and one elite QB as a shoe-in to be great at developing guys. In all honesty, I'm not sure there's much difference between Clements and McCoy. I like both, but both have real questions too. Aaron Rodgers is like the best ever, not just elite.
  17. we're going to run into this at every opposing arena. we will never get any kind of respect so we'll just have to play through the refs, too
  18. would be nice if some of that magic would happen to the illin
  19. great to see favoritism the university of illinois never enjoys ever
  20. oh god, why can't we have a guy that never has annything bad happen to him
  21. but these are things that go on at opposing arenas that do not happen in champaign
  22. he hooked mclaurin. i hope he drinks his face off tonight and shits himself
  23. i knew dj byrd was getting that ball. i just knew it before the shot went up.
  24. right off johnson's crotch? purdue ball
  25. that play where johnson got shoulder checked, that's happened on the other side like 8 times without a call.
