  6. i want to hear more nuanced jokes about brent musberger being drunk
  7. how does that happen? lol
  8. not a fumble
  9. i think it would be hilarious if emery announced he was going to coach the team himself after interviewing 20 candidates.
  10. Quarterbacks dont get coaches fired. Quite the opposite. If KC doesn't get a franchise QB in the next 3 years, Andy Reid will be killed.
  11. It's because the coordinators aren't good enough, troy you spaz.
  12. i can't believe they gave forte a bunch of money
  13. To be fair, Dennison was the OC in Denver when Cutler went to his only ProBowl and threw for over 4500 yards, finishing 3rd in the league in pass attempts. Denver threw the ball 620 times that year and ran only 387. *Of course they were blown out 6 times that year and got into 3 other shootouts where both teams put up over 30 points. if we keep the defense intact i'm not worried about shootouts. my big problem with our offense was the tendency to get a lead and then play ultra-conservative, putting a huge strain on our defense. just because you have a lead doesn't necessarily mean that the clock is your friend yet.
  14. the answer to a stagnant offense that can't score points isn't more running. if dennison can bring his o-line with him, maybe. but most likely still no. the bears have been stuck on this run-first mindset for their entire history, it's time for a change with the times. i don't want an HC in here that runs to set up the pass, that was what we were trying to do all year. cutler needs to throw the ball 35-40 times a game.
  15. good win thankfully the ohio state buckeyes are gutless choking dogs and they only have one good player
  16. in my day, when thomas gets the ball everyone would just yell shot. do they do that anymore?
  17. egwu has the equivalent of a stuttering problem when it comes to catching fantastic feed passes where he'll have an easy layup.
  18. yeah, but there are a number of Tampa fans who think that losing Sullivan would be devastating.
  19. sean king was on with laurence holmes last night and pretty much said he wouldn't hire him if he were in charge of the bears.
  20. also, for most of his career, he hasn't had anyone that could get open. he'll run and run and run around in the backfield, making time for his receivers, then he'll set his feet and throw downfield, and there's hester running stride for stride with the safety when greg jennings, jordy nelson, or randall cobb would all be about 5 yards behind the defense.
  21. think he's about average at finding throwing lanes, his problem is making the decision to throw instead of taking a sack or throwing it away.
  22. I disagree. I think Cutler has pretty good footwork. He vastly improved his footwork coming into the 2011 season. Hell, Moose Johnston was commenting on how well Cutler was moving in the pocket against the Lions. Just because he will throw off his back foot doesn't mean he doesn't have good footwork. It just means he throws off his back foot... and he's pretty damn good at it. I think the only reason Esiason mentions Cutler's footwork is because prior to 2011, it was the go to criticism on Cutler. That and his "bad attitude". Boomer is just regurgitating what he's heard before because he's not good at his job. He hamstrings his own ability to move around in the pocket and make/extend plays by sitting on his heels. It's a problem that I hope any coach that comes in can help clean up. i don't think that's accurate at all. he extends plays as well as any QB in the league and he throws from his heels so often because if he didn't he'd have a smashed-in face.
  23. a source says no more interviews for O'Brien. they must have promised to cover up one or two future murders.
  24. either penn state is threatening to ruin his career or happy valley is in the kind of denial where only a handful of ludes can get you.
  25. but realistically, o'brien is desperate.
