Im joint pointing out that coaching a player to an MVP 10+ years ago isnt a great indicator of success as a Bears coach. and if he were hired without an interview and without head coaching experience at any level, and strictly based on his success or lack of with the raiders, looking at two years of his career, you'd be correct. but gannon isn't the only qb to have success under trestman, nor are the raiders the only team. head coaches and coordinators aren't a finished product. they frequently adapt to the times, which is why they endure as coaches and coordinators.
