  1. i would like to say that i think it's cool that emery didn't bring in someone from atlanta or kansas city that he had pre-selected. by all accounts, he'd never met trestman before. he's a critical thinker.
  2. of course he's relying on emery to figure out what's already in place. where his huge input will be is what they bring in. let's hope there are fewer CFL players than CFL coaches izzy's job appears to be safe

  4. As what? co-OC and QB coach? what other offensive coach could Bears fill in? QB/WR/RB/TE, They will likely hire an asst TE coach to assist Kromer who has OC duty. don't care how many co-OC's we have, trestman is the emperor with playcalling.
  5. The thing I notice is far more provincialism in Chicago. the smaller you get, the more provincial, obviously.
  6. Brad Biggs ‏@BradBiggs Also, one source told me Argonauts head coach Scott Milanovich, former Maryland QB, could possibly join #Bears staff.
  7. one could surmise that with the talent being to scale, if you are a successful coach in either league because of the system you run, you could be successful in the other.
  8. i doubt that means many defensive staff, i don't think he had time to get used to them
  9. i really doubt that Bates is here, but Tice is assuredly out.
  10. based on anything besides wiki? trestman sure made it sound like they will begin the process of looking for a DC after today. i just have a feeling that it's right. he may have just been saying that and wanted to give Hoke his own moment or something.
  11. so yeah, it looks like Hoke is the new DC. good choice.
  12. from wiki: NFL coaching career Hoke joined the expansion Houston Texans of the NFL in 2002 as secondary coach under Dom Capers, and was retained by new head coach Gary Kubiak in 2005.[8] Hoke joined the Chicago Bears as defensive backs coach in 2009,[9] taking over for Steven Wilks. He was named as the Bears defensive coordinator on January 17 2013.
  13. I fail to see how that isn't a positive. indeed
  14. as has been mentioned, hoke would work
  15. spent a couple nights staring at jay in a hotel room in raleigh north carolina, ten years ago
  16. lol picture Urlacher with his daughters while saying it. they'll be dropping his bastards off at the hinsdale oasis for visitation in no time.
  17. it's ok, i like nerdy. nerdy people run the world. i'll just pretend he's an evil genius.
  18. he's crispin glover, we've hired crispin glover.

  21. Says that Bevell has no hc experience. Which is why he was eliminated
  22. what? he didn't know they were in a relationship when he kept calling her his girlfriend to anyone who would listen and he thanked her family for their support of him on national tv? and now you're saying that it's the media that invented the relationship? what?
