  1. oh yeah, shut up andy, no one cares
  2. 2005 seems like a really long time ago, i can only imagine
  3. is purdue in the final four yet?
  4. haha, you're so easy to piss off
  5. and purdue put a pr photo out with the starters on a recent team posing with theirs.
  6. this is UMfan implying that purdue is a bunch of lucky pukes.
  7. oh missouri lost that's so sad
  8. argh, it's because teams would rather [expletive] themselves in the salary cap ass than give up a player with any value. i hate franchise tags, hate them so much
  9. some dude did 51 back before sneaky was born
  10. that's not the record modern record
  11. his agent has apparently been spending time with emery. EDIT: though i didn't realize that the chiefs had so much money to spend.
  12. i also think we have the inside track on dwayne bowe. i think he wants to sign with us as opposed to kansas city. he knows he could take that next step in chicago with a quarterback like cutler and so does his agent.
  13. Damn, I really like that actually. Mine is not happening, too much has to fall perfectly. That's pretty realistic, if Bowe doesn't hit FA, I'd take V-Jax or Stevie and keep the rest of your offseason in tact. If we have to settle for someone not in that class though, then I've got to take. WR much higher in the draft. Maybe sign John Carlson and take a WR in the 2nd possibly. Or take a WR in the 1st and draft Cam Johnson in the 2nd, still signing Carlson as your TE. i think this is a great draft for what we need, no matter what happens. emery will have to try to mess it up.
  14. That would be a pretty sick offseason, though I'd go CB 3rd and LB 4th. And Jenkins may not last til the 5th. I also hate the thought of trading Olsen for a 3rd rounder and then drafting a TE in the 2nd round, even though I do understand there was going to be a money issue also. But Charles may be worth it. Big fan of his. Doesn't have the great height of a Grontkowski/Graham, but has really good short area quickness. Also, strong as an ox apparently based on his bench press. Unlike most TEs in this draft, he also lined up on the LOS over 80% of the time. Not a glorified slot WR, not a guy that needs to be off the line to get a clean/quick release into his pattern. As for the CB/LB thing, I think the Bears could have any of a crapload of CBs in the 3rd round that I'd be happy with. Trumaine Johnson, Brandon Boykin, Josh Norman, Casey Hayward, Coryell Judie, Leonard Johnson, or Ryan Steed. T. Johnson has the size. Norman and Steed are small school potential studs. Judie and Boykin are big time athletes. L. Johnson and Hayward are NFL ready, Hayward in particular is a prototype Cover 2 guy. In the 4th, I think there will be plenty of LB talent left on the board. i see your point. i don't know if prater necessarily fits the mold of the cover-2 cb like those other guys you mention. i just really like spence.
  15. i've revised as well: sign: bowe, mcneil. re-sign: forte, okoye, jennings draft: 1. Whitney Mercilus DE 2. Orson Charles TE 3. Kevin Zeitler G 3. Sean Spence OLB 4. Shaun Prater CB 5. AJ Jenkins WR
  16. cory harkey had a bad workout. he was the one who was not like the others. fat, goofy-looking, and slow.
  17. yeah, i've soured on adams after reading up a bit more on him. i don't think he's worth a first round pick. paea did 49 reps lat year, a combine record.
  18. watch highlights of him from the 2010 game against OSU. He was outrunning DBs all over the place. No idea why we didn't use him more, it's not like his hands were terrible or anything. yeah, wherever he was projected i'm assuming he just moved himself up significantly.
  19. TE james hanna just ran a 4.42 at 252 pounds.
  20. Ryan Broyles? AJ Jenkins is bigger, faster, and better than that guy, plus he's not coming off a major injury. Jenkins is going to be a thousand-yard guy in the league.
  21. Consistency. the point is that they were in the ballpark with ohio state in terms of talent. not quite there, but they're still top 3-4 in the bt when it comes to pure talent and ability. Little late to the convo. uh
  22. I do not believe so, they just can't do it a 3rd time I believe. if they tag him again they have to offer him 120% of his last year's salary. which comes out to nearly 14 mil.
  23. Consistency. the point is that they were in the ballpark with ohio state in terms of talent. not quite there, but they're still top 3-4 in the bt when it comes to pure talent and ability.
  24. stabbin hobos or singin hobos?
