Being one and done had nothing to do with why UNC and others stopped recruiting him. Exactly. Agreed (in regards to Davis) but I don't see UCLA turning down Shabazz b/c he'll be top 5 next June. Despite Groce emphasizing graduating players, I see him going after the elite guys even though they won't last beyond 2 years. i hope he goes after talented players, i just hope he doesn't get the dump truck out for hessians like davis.

people acted like he was the beatles breaking up or something. that weird farewell press conference with the storebought illini tablecloth hanging in the background and he and his family looking like kurdish refugees got all kinds of people to feel sorry for him all over again, even people that hated him.

there's no way I don't know, if his off court judgement is as piss poor as in on court judgement, he might just do it. he pulled an april fool's day joke yesterday and said he'd be out for 7 months, then retweeted a guy who told him he just gave illini nation a heart attack. in any event, his leaving would give mean more henry, which is a great thing.
