With 3 plus/plus pitches, that should tell us how filthy he actually is. And the eye test also tells us he's filthy. I'm just saying that if can's harness his control by now, there's a very good chance that this is who he is. And if this is who he is, if they're not putting him the rotation any time soon, he could be a high leverage reliever today. I don't think this is a make or break trade. Looking at his stuff, and seeing him pitch, at the very least, he should be in the pen. Even with control issues. In the pen he doesn't need all 3 pitches to be on a particular day. Don't use the one that's causing control issues that day. Also, I can see an uptick in velo in 1 inning bursts.
