  1. I could go for that. Cutler would make that group look pretty good.
  2. Bears got 2 of my top 7 guys. Never thought that would be possible. I'd love Duke Robinson at 105, but I think the Bears go DB. I'll second the wish for Duke.
  3. And Angelo has some past success picking decent safeties in the 4th and 5th rounds too.
  4. Considering that Boldin is still in AZ, I wonder how accurate those reports of AZ only wanting a 2nd rd pick and another player were? I can't believe they didn't find a match with those demands.
  5. No way Boldin goes without a first round pick being included in the deal.
  6. I'd like to make a deal for Edwards if Cleveland would be reasonable about it. They undervalued the #5 pick, why hold out for so much for Edwards?
  7. Massaquoi is gone. :(
  8. He was horrible. Picture Hoffpauir at 2nd. He'd be a small upgrade over that.
  9. LOTS of walks Leading the league in walks. We don't. Brewers, Dodgers, and have more. The Brewers and Dodgers also have played one more game than us though, but Cincy has one walk on us in the same number of games. Who would have thought that one of Dusty's teams would be leading the league in walks per game while talking about hitters and not pitchers? Obviously an indicator of small sample size. When I made that post a week ago the CUBS did lead the league in BB/Game played. Not trying to sharp shoot you, but when you made that post, the Reds had the same number of games played and two more walks. But that's Dusty's team, so give him some time to punish his "hitters" for "walking" instead of "hitting."
  10. Keep gathright and you only have 1 guy you feel comfortable going to in the middle of the game, for any purpose when Bradley is out.
  11. With Bradley essentially inactive, leaving only 3 bench players and a backup catcher on the roster (and one of the bench players being your only MI backup) that's really putting yourself at a disadvantage offensively. While that is true, you can't really say that having Gathright on the roster makes us less disadvantaged offensively than not having him but having the additional arm in the pen. I'd rather have Z as a pinch hitter than Gathright, and I'm sure someone can fill Marquis's void as a pinch runner.
  12. Not necessarily pertinent to us, but Giants are out of the Edwards talks... http://clarkjudge.blogs.cbssports.com/mcc/blogs/entry/6384866/14650617 Edwards would be a good buy-low candidate, but apparently the Browns aren't interested in selling low based on his last season.
  13. So let me get this straight... On 4 April (or whatever it was) they thought Vizcaino was a better candidate than Shark to open the season in the pen. Vizcaino, in limited duty, is virtually flawless and gives up nothing, but now they want to dfa him because the other relievers aren't pulling their weight? FTH? Did Shark show something amazing in AAA that I missed?
  14. I can't see it being Vizcaino. They thought he was good enough to put on the roster, and since then he's given up two singles, no walks, no runs in 3.2 innings. What are the odds that they're going to put Patton on waivers and hope he clears so they can offer Colorado something to put him in the minors?
  15. What the heck is a DC? Is that supposed to be DB? Defensive Center? There's no such position. The player mentioned is a CB, I don't know if that's supposed to be DB or CB. Maybe he likes being brief and redundant at the same time, and DC is short for DCB.
  16. Actually, the idiot is Ochocinco for not changing his name to the right thing. But that wouldn't be nearly as funny or cool had he done "ochenta y cinco" or "ochenty cinco".
  17. I agree. I think Cutler can do for Lloyd what he did for Royal last year.
  18. I agree with what Ditka said, it won't change our offense alot, but I disagree about the significance. Ron Turner is an idiot. It doesn't matter who his quarterback is, he's going to try to run a Favre-style offense. He's not capable of tailoring his offense to the guys he has on the field. What Angelo has effectively done is tailored the personnel to the kind of offense that Turner runs instead. So, I think the addition of Cutler will be significant.
  19. Okay, then the 2087 and the 2094 picks then. I think we still have them both.
  20. 2111 and 2112 first round picks.
  21. Anquan Boldin please.... I don't want them going out and paying alot for a FA WR or one in a trade...unless that WR is Boldin. [/pipe dream]
  22. I had no idea Jay was so ripped. http://www.jaycutler.com/
  23. I agree that his bat speed does look like it's down. I think he's just struggling to make contact, so he's not trying to drive the ball much anymore.
  24. He did, but it was taken back. That would have been great for Canseco (or Sheff for that matter). Retire on 500, then three years later someone notices that one of them shouldn't count.
  25. That's only because Canseco couldn't get that one last team to let him get to 500.
