Jesus Lou. Lets see: Marmol does well, you ride him. He starts to struggle. Wood gets a blister, is out for a while. Marmol, filling in at Closer for Wood, gets more time off, stops struggling. Wood comes back, you go back to riding Marmol. Any guess on whats next in the cycle? -
Good job Johnson. Duke walks two straight batters and hasn't been near the zone except for one pitch, and you swing at the first one... Despite how good this team can be, there are days where I'm sure they are trying to be the stupidest team in baseball.

Why doesn't a Sac Fly count as an At Bat?

But in those cases the batter was trying to get a hit as well as drive the run in, with a sac bunt, he is trying to make an out. -

Why doesn't a Sac Fly count as an At Bat?

Well I understand the "purposeful out" thing... but regardless... not every time does a player go up there TRYING to Sac Fly... Purposeful or not, it's still an out. I think an RBI should be awarded and that's it. That's why it still counts against the players OBP, because he was not necessarily trying to make an out. SacBunts, however, do not count against OBP as in most cases the coaches are taking the PA away from the batter by telling him to make an out. -

I think ESPN would explode if two teams from the AL East made the playoffs and neither were the Red Sox or Yankees. The Blue Jays are 7 back in the Wild Card, though. That ain't happening. I think ESPN will explode if the Red Sox and Yankees don't make the playoffs no matter where the wild card comes from.

I'm okay with him doing it every now and then. Once he starts to throw more, then getting to and going a little over 100 is fine. That, and he hasn't been exactly struggling out there today.

I would hope that nobody is rooting against these kids. From the guy who can't wait to run over to NSBB and update everyone on Murton's, Patterson's, and Gallagher's struggles, that's rich. All he seems to be doing is reporting on how they are doing. He can't make them be successful. -
