  1. Vizquel has been doing pretty well... I wouldn't care, really.
  2. Yeah, when Fox was doing the reserves, they usually moved pretty quickly when they were going through the people, but for some unknown and completely uncalled for reason they lingered on Rogers for a couple of extra seconds. My dad also commented on how the pregame people just cut off one of the greatest voices in baseball history. I hope Fox is proud, because if their intentions were to show how they are one of the most despicable networks, they certainly accomplished that.
  3. When he brings it to your door, does he say "Pepperoni, WOO! Hamburger, WOO!, Bread Sticks, WOO!" Hamburger? On pizza? Ick. But it'd expect nothing less on a pizza delivered by Ronnie. Its funny, Pizza Hut is now advertising a Hamburger Pizza... they have actually had one for a while now, I know because I work at a Pizza Hut... ITS BEEF. nothing special, just beef on a normal pizza...
  4. It gets better, during the recap on Baseball Tonight (At noon EST on ESPN today...) they still called him Carlos Lee when they showed him striking out i nthe first... I was fine with it.
  5. what I fine funny: In reality, there are only 7 countries... Peurto Rico, by definition, is part of the USA. Their citizens are considered US citizens, and their head of state is listed as George W. Bush. (PR, like Guam, is a commonwealth of the US and has voted many times to stay as such, same as Guam).
  6. 1394. sweetpeteman A Whole Lot of Nothing 190
  7. Team Stats & Scoring 1. Number of Cubs wins, season 94 -ouch 2. Number of Cubs wins, Cardinals season series (14 games) 8 -dingdingding 3. Number of runs scored, 2005 765 close 4. Number of earned runs allowed, 2005 625 -close, and with the O and the Pitching slowly coming back, here's hoping Player Stats & Scoring 1. Number of DLee Home Runs 36 - way off 2. Number of CPatterson BBs 59 - not happening 3. Nomar's Batting Average .311 - if he gets back, possible, but not likely 4. Aramis' RBIs 118 -close, could still reach it 5. Maddux's Wins 16 - dingdingding 6. Zambrano's ERA 3.03 -eww 7. Kerry Wood's Ks 255 - ha, fat chance 8. Mark Prior's Games Started 32 -stupid baseball, get out of Mark's way... Tiebreaker: Michael Barrett’s OPS .913-ha
  8. ok, maybe not BM, because I know he has too much dignity and respect to do that. But somebody needs to call him out for this, because this is really just him LYING. Thats all it is.
  9. that's why its amazing to me that phil rogers still picks Albert as the 1st half MVP. He is unreal. My favorite part of that is when Phil says that Pujols edges out Lee in runs created. I think "wait, that doesn't sound right." Then in the next sentence, I found out that he was referring to the made-up-by-Phil-Rogers version of runs created. Does he not know that its a real stat? And one in which Derrek leads by a pretty good margin? And that that stat actually means something, while his means close to nothing? can somebody please take him to the woodshed? (i dont mean really beat him, only in word). somebody right a rebuttle to be posted... Bruce Miles, where are you? You don't have to actually mention Rogers, but a piece on DLee leading in Runs Created would be great...
  10. IRod for Puerto Rico... couldn't find a Puerto Rican with more than 7 homeruns? Really... since it seems they dont care about AL/NL splits (5 NL, possibly 6 if DLee doesn't turn it down), why not a guy with, I don't know, 17 homers? I'm talking about Carlos Delgado.
  11. actually, I think that if DLee was on the Cardinals, his number would be different... he wouldn't even be near the other players, he would be way to far ahead of them. His RBI total would prob. be near 100. If Lee was on the Cards and having the same season, they may be over 60 wins.
  12. A: W L ERA G GS CG SHO IP H R ER HR HBP BB SO WHIP 15 8 5.84 34 34 1 0 202.0 223 133 131 30 11 105 117 1.62 B: W L ERA G GS CG SHO IP H R ER HR HBP BB SO WHIP 8 9 3.72 22 22 0 0 140.1 127 62 58 16 11 51 144 1.27 who's better, a or b? A because he got 15 wins, or B, whos overall numbers are better? Bonus if you guess who Joe Morgan would pick.
  13. I would like to point out, that Novoa through 9 pitches, all of them strikes. (that being that they were either called, swinging, fouls, or in play). Nice job. keep it up.
  14. Burnitz...just because you don't like Perez doesn't mean you should go lying about him.
  15. even a blind squirrel... unnfortunantly, this means Macias will be on the team for a while longer now.
  16. they are actually bringing in another pitcher to face Macias... what a waste of a pitcher.
  17. hmm, pitch to Lee or Macias, HARD CHOICE, NOT.
  18. great, now Matt will come on here, see that, and never talk to us again. Thanks a lot!
  19. I would really rather have Mitre or Rusch out there to run, not Zambrano...we really don't need him injured.
  20. he might not remember his first at bat, or what he ate for lunch...
  21. wow... the first major league pitch he ever sees hits him... is he hurt? (Please be okay, Adam...)
  22. wowzers, Gameday is really far behind...
  23. Its fat delino! Quick, bring in Ohman, we all know that Harris is the greatest hitter ever!
