  1. Bump for 5/26! What will he say about Perez? I bet he talks about how he saved us last year! Man, what a pathetic team.
  2. Dempster sucked and gave up 2 hits, and then gave up 2 walks, then k'ed chipper and got a sac fly, tieing the game. On the play, Jones threw the ball in to Neifi, who had the ball hit off his glove and roll away, Giles took off from home for 3rd and Neifi threw the ball away. he then came up and struck out.
  3. Why? Because you still have hope the Cubs could still turn things around and make a run this yr? Trading Williamson to the Reds---especially if the get that Denorfia---would be a solid move for the Cubs. But knowing the Cubs they'd end up with Quinton McCracken for Williamson. nope, McCracken would be too much. They would go for some A ball hack who would be out of baseball in a year.
  4. Neifi saved us! FROM A WIN! WTG Cubs! You are the greatest team evah! The greatest LOSERS.
  5. Bentiment. Game day spells it Betemit. You surely don't me to comment on your spelling, eh? Fred=correct All the time. I could of sworn I saw Hudson and then I spelled Betement's name wrong. me sorry. And you did it again!
  6. This inning should be over if either Jacque hadn't choked or if the ump had actually called strike three.
  7. Home team scorer apparently hates the home team.
  8. And in less than 13 minutes, Ribbee is in the lead
  9. Since 1996, (The 1st full year after the strike), only 3 teams have scored less than 600 runs. This is also an era were runs have skyrocketed. 2003 Dodgers 574 2003 Tigers 591 2002 Tigers 575
  10. That would have been a good trade for the Mets. Hernandez is clutch in the postseason. What has Kris Benson ever won? Perhaps.....ANNA? He LOST Anna. I thought they patched things up...
  11. Baylor wasn't hired by Hendry. Hendry was made GM on July 5, 2002. Hendry hired Baker, firing him would be admitting that Baker was not the guy. Sure, IT WOULD BE SMART TO JUST ADMIT THAT YOU WERE WRONG, but these people are too scared of actually admitting mistakes.
  12. see, I don't mind Pagan as much as the other guys, because we didn't give up anything for him, and I think he could be a pretty decent bench guy. Plus, he actually seemed to care. He was really torn up when he was injured.
  13. I had a teacher in high school tell us about when he was young, he was working in a factory with a guy who admitted to using heroin. The one thing the guy always said? He regretted ever starting smoking cigarettes. Why cigs and not heroin? Well, according to him, it was nearly impossible to quit cigs, but to get of heroin, all he needed to do was survive a couple days of withdrawal, and won't have the urge to need to do it again, but the urge for cigs never goes away. Thats what the Cubs are like. You may quit, but the addiction will never fully go away.
