  1. Civale will likely be a pen guy in the playoffs and possibly Soroka too if he comes back healthy and effective. To me, I think a solid playoff bullpen consists of having a couple guys who can go 3+ innings if needed as managers tend to have a quicker hook with starters in the postseason nowadays as theyre only relied on to go 5 innings at most. Imanaga Horton Boyd Taillon are likely the starters. I can see Counsell possibly going with Assad, Civale, and Rea and/or Soroka as their long relievers. Pomeranz and Theilbar as his lefties. Kittredge, Keller, and Palencia as the late guys. Rogers is a possibility if they face a team heavy with Lefties over Rea or Soroka
  2. Shaw and Swanson have to be one of if not the best defensive left side of infield
  3. Two ladies in blue behind the RH batter, I bet they haven't seen one pitch thrown, they've been yapping the whole game. 😅
  4. Game 3? He's my Game 2 I also would prefer Boyd being a veteran an all to be that guy in a must win Game 3 scenerio
  5. A much needed mental break, hopefully it'll ignite him for rest of season
  6. Get your scorecard and pencils ready for today's starting lineup.
  7. I think the Phillies will be the tough team to beat for the Cubs in the playoffs, with the Dodgers a close second because theyre the Dodgers. Brewers dont scare me as much but you never know with them, the others shouldn't be any problems for them. Cubs and Phillies NLCS
  8. No Tucker or PCA today, plus the thread was renamed to the Braves from Brewers, so likely a loss today because of superstitious stuff.😅
  9. Here's a list of pitchers you'd like to forget 😅
  10. I cut my last 2 classes in HS to get home to watch Game 1, I had to take the bus a block pass my regular stop to avoid walking by my mom's office so she wouldn't see me..lol I will always remember running home from bus stop and running under a ladder( bad luck) and then the Cubs scoring 13 runs 😅
  11. 1984 was so special because they were made up from a bunch of older vets from other teams that just bonded together well and played hard every single game, and of course Ryno. They kicked asss on the field and drank beer together in the clubhouse long after games were over. They will always be my no.1 favorite team with 2016 as 1A...
  12. I like doing that too.. Now it, let get to 85 Wins before 60 losses Lol
  13. Glad White saved us the drama there and swung at the first pitch... 😏😏😏 W
  14. Only the cubs.. Big 4 run inning in 3rd, 1 hit and 2 walks since 🙄
  15. Newly acquired cub today at Iowa Austin Gomber 5 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 5 K
  16. If anyone could use a few days off it him, just to give him a good mental break.
  17. Career .247 .342 .446 .788 2025 .238 .337 .410 .747 He needs to have a solid September to reach his career numbers, it is very doable for him though as he isnt that far off.
  18. Yes, most starters are tougher to hit than most relievers, hence why there's a difference in numbers.
  19. Cause they'll be starting a game versus a Left Handed Starting Pitcher not a Reliever. 🤷‍♂️
