I'd be surprise if they would let him pitch more than a set number of innings in September. I think he'll pitch a couple games and then be shutdown for the year, then go through a normal offseason and get ready for whenever ST starts up.

Cubs do add a SP, what will they do with the overload ? New SP, Imanaga, Boyd, Taillon, Peterson, Assad, Rea, Cabrera Taillon probably DFA, with Rea and Assad going to the pen ? Could the bullpen eventually be from this mix by mid/late August, obviously a couple would have to be optioned. Possible new Reliever, Rea, Assad, Steele, Milner, Roberts, Palencia, Webb, Thornton, Civale, Hollowell, and Rolison

I asked the other day, if the cubs are going to spend their best prospects on one pitcher, would you want them to get a closer in Miller or a SP like Ryan or Skubal ?
