    Right, why I think it'll be in the best interest of the Cubs for theirs and Marquee sake to make sure they have a winning team in August. Comcast not going to negotiate in good faith if the Cubs aren't playing well, cause they won't gain customers that will add Marquee to watch a losing team and will likely lose subscribers to Marquee in September and over the winter.

    Marquee and Comcast deal ends in September, so if a deal doesn't get worked out between Marquee and Comcast the largest cable provider in the Chicago market this could be the end of Marquee. With this in mind, one would think or hope that the pressure would be on Rickett and Hoyer to do whatever possible to make sure the team is more competitive and in the thick of things by August in order to give Comcast a legitimate reason to extend the contract with Marquee not just to finish out this season but going forward. So, hopefully maybe, there is a chance that we may see some legitimate upgrades to this roster in July and the Ws will come more often.

    Well, with the upcoming top prospects that are ready/near ready there will be a bit of a log jam in the outfield. Happ, Bellinger, Suzuki, Tauchman PCA, Caissie, Alcantara etc. Eventually someone gotta be moved

    What kind of buyers though ? Meaning will they add impact players with a cost that will put them over the Threshold in which they are about 4 mil under now? Or Will they just add a couple low cost guys that could help ? If guys start hitting again and they start putting together some Ws and are right there with the Brewers at the break, then maybe Rickett gives Hoyer the ok to go over, other then that I doubt they spend or add anyone significant.

    My wish would be that they ask Happ for a list of teams he'd agree to waive his NT for and move him. Looking ahead to 2025, they're going to have to clear at least one outfielder spot and possibly two. Bellinger player option (25/26) Suzuki 2 yrs remaining Happ 2 yrs remaining Prospects: 2025?
