  1. I get it but seriously theres no predictor of future performances, nobody knows what going to happen in the future no matter what their expected hit ball or luck was previously. we should always expect someone who has a track record of being a good hitter to eventually start hitting better, luck or not. But just because a ball they hit today was an out doesn't necessarily mean that same ball could be a hit next week, and the same can be said with some hits.
  2. There are only 4 positives you can do with every plate appearance. Sacrifice, Walk, HBP, or get a hit and the only stats that shows how well they're doing that is BA, and OBP. How hard they hit a ball, or expectations of a ball they hit, etc. are fun stats to look at but it not a true showing of how successful a hitter has been with getting actual hits and reaching base.
  3. I think people look too much into these expectation numbers and bad luck ... I mean sure players can go through a rough stretch and everything he hits hard is right at someone or falls short of the fench, and that happens to everyone here and there. Cubs problem isn't just some bad luck stretches, these guys just aren't hitting good enough and haven't been for most of the season so far. They have 7 batters hitting .210 or below, that not bad luck that just plain terrible. The other 5, Hoerner Suzuki Bellinger Busch and Happ they just haven't been consistent enough, they have their little streaks and then go cold for a long stretches. Cubs aren't unlucky, they just have most of their guys sucking and the rest just being inconsistent and not hitting good enough overall.
  4. Yea, it kinda silly to jump on Counsell over the crap he has to use in the pen. It not like he has a go to guy or two available in there that he refuses to use, he's been using everyone and they all have failed.
  5. Exactly, that what I posted earlier on here.. You give me crap to use in these situations, then here you go
  6. Who is he supposed to put out there though, they all choke.. He can only use who he has and it all crap
  7. They promoted Ballesteros to Iowa, maybe they will give him an opportunity
  8. Yea, high strikes are balls, low balls are strikes 🤷‍♂️
  9. Angry Happ gives them the lead back 😏
  10. Sometimes to get a GM attention you gotta show him the crap he gives you on a daily basis. Either give me better players or I'll just keep playing the crap you give me til you do
  11. Should of pulled him after and let his confidence marinate from that for the next game. 🤷‍♂️
  12. Lol.. Should of been happy with getting out of the 6th with him and gone with someone else
  13. Likely last inning for Assad, so once again no run support and they turn it over to the bullpen to try and give the bats a chance to score
  14. Exit velocity and xba are dumb imo, especially for groundballs. These fielders are positioned where hitters are expected to hit the ball 99% of the time
  15. Jed has it figured out, don't worry 😏 https://x.com/WatchMarquee/status/1802837749327597754?t=ekxHtIR80RJjBceTYHfWqQ&s=19
  16. Dodgers need a SS, trade them Swanson for some of their young talent 😏😏
  17. Remember when I said watch this team end up being sellers and everyone thought I was nuts... 😏😏😏 I get they don't have much of anything to sell, but I doubt we will see any real major additions and will likely see subtractions from this roster in July.
  18. Cubs Designated Cuas and selected Ethan Roberts
