He'll trade for Josh Hader 😅

Boog and JD don't want to be full time announcers
  3. chibears55
Counsell waving the white flag on this one, he's got Pressly in there and it only the 6th inning

The curse has started, shouldn't lie about the Pope 🙄🙄😅😅 https://x.com/WatchMarquee/status/1920538400785903996?t=rVpHtsrHMapV5Nhil0M_Vw&s=19

Only getting 4 out of him tonight, but yea someone from the pen gonna have to go long.
  6. chibears55
Series is off to a bad start, can't afford to use up the pen tonight with Horton going tomorrow and on a pitch count most likely.
  7. chibears55
They can't steal bases anymore, fun offense is over ☹️

Maybe Hoyer can look into this.. Probably would need the RedSox to eat some salary though. https://x.com/mlbtraderumors/status/1920590194723401973?t=dbXXFTpm_tmsG7fvllC_pg&s=19

Yep, don't turn these 2 losses into a longer losing streak.

The depth is the biggest problem, these guys on the bench aren't exactly momentum keepers when they're in the lineup or PH for someone. I dont remember which analyst said it, but he mentioned that a good bench player is someone a manager can count on to just help keep good momentum going for a lineup when they get an opportunity to start, whether it in the field or at the plate. Cubs outside of Catchers, they don't have that guy they can count on consistently on that bench, you're just hoping they don't lose the game in the field or kill rallies when they bat.

The wind blown double by PCA 😅
  12. chibears55
    Save him for the Mets
  13. chibears55
Pomeranz says, bang bang bang let go bat boys..lol
  14. chibears55
They have to adopt for next season that rule they experimented with in ST where you can ask for a review on pitch, way too many miss calls with these umps.
  15. chibears55
As long as they keep winning and they're not relying much on Turner to get more then a start or two a week against tough LHers, I think theyll keep him to be more of that veteran who good in the clubhouse and on the bench. Brujan and Lopez are the two they need to really replace and that'll likely come from Iowa later in season.

Hopefully the bats can string some hits together and score a couple runs against their bullpen and the Cubs pen can hold them at 3.
  17. chibears55
I wonder if they have a date or AB amount for a possible return for Shaw, assuming he looks to have adjusted to whatever they worked on. Have to figure he'll get another opportunity to stick.
  18. chibears55
I begged for that to drop..lol
  19. chibears55
Lmao, the last guy you'd expect to hit one deep to the wall gets a double.. Nico Come on PCA, let get him home
  20. chibears55
No definitely not, but if that was his reason to bark, i can see it. Like I said, for a guy who gets alot of bad calls against him, he should be in protect mode a bit more with 2 strikes
  21. chibears55
PCA gonna win a GG this season
  22. chibears55
Second time through order is Ben Brown demon, he definitely needs a 3rd pitch to at least keep them guessing a little, otherwise they're just sitting on a pitch.
  23. chibears55
He took the same pitch for ball 1
  24. chibears55
Yea, for someone who gets alot of bad calls against him, you'd think he'd be a little more protective up there with 2 strikes.
  25. chibears55
    Boog is annoying to me
