He has since last season, part of me feel that could be a bit of his problem, maybe he should allow someone else to call pitches for him and can just focus more on executing them.

If Hendricks continues the way he's going he does nothing but hurts the bullpen more because of the innings theyll pile up and he's basically an L every 5 games unless the bats bail him out.

So, seriously, If Hendricks can't get through 5 today without looking like he's tossing BP, then tomorrow they seriously need to IL him and see if they can figure out how to help him be at least a guy who can get them a few good starts the rest of the season.

Haven't seen anything on Happs injury, as in regard to how bad it is, I hope this isn't something they're giving a few days to see if it gets better but then end up putting him on the IL for a month.

Didn't get to watch the 2nd game but noticed in box score that Gomes had another 0fer with 2 more Ks, not that there any better options in Iowa to replace him if they wanted too but just think if maybe it's time to stop the 50/50 games split with Amaya and just roll with Amaya now.

Exactly, and for this game specifically, he had his 2 best late guys ready and available to get the final 6 outs with a lead and they didn't get the job done. Also This bullpen doesn't even sniff to the arms he had in Milwaukee to close out the final 2-3 innings.

Exactly, would of preferred Gomes over Canario there to get that runner home from 3B.

Yea, they seriously need another late inning reliever to go with Leiter and even Merryweather when he returns, I dont care too much for using a shaky "closer" for more then 3 outs in a 1 run game.

Yea, I get getting bench guys their ABs in but 5 at once.. lol I just hope he's not planning on resting both Swanson and Hoerner in the second game

This is why the bats are important in DHers.. SP can stay in a tad longer with a 3+ runs lead and not have to burn up relievers just to get through an inning.

Shaw is cruising in AA and will likely be promoted to Iowa sooner rather then later. Vazquez is off to a great start in Iowa My question is, would it be crazy to think both could be up at some point this season with the cubs ? Shaw to take over 3B and Vazquez getting his AB rotating through 2B, SS, and 3B to give the regulars days off kinda like Tauchman was doing with the OFers. Morel could go back to DH or maybe used in a trade to net a SP Bench/DH could be improved with Morel and Vazquez added to it with Amaya, Wisdom , and whomever is the 4th OFer. Thoughts
