Those 3-6 hitters need to start stepping up and get a little more productive, that'll take some pressure off of Mervis, Canario, and PCA when they're in the lineup.

I'm not saying to spend double digits on 1 reliever but mostly if there's a guy or two that can make a difference, then try and get them. I agree you can build a pen from within for the most part but yea if there a solid pen guy or two that available, you gotta try to get him, otherwise you're trying to piece one together like this year so far.

Am I getting too optimistic about the cubs SP rotation the next couple of years with Steele, Imanaga, Assad, Wicks, Brown and even Taillon? We still haven't seen Horton or Kohl Franklin I haven't looked at the upcoming free agent list, but do they even look to spend big on SP or do they look more to spend on relievers and a bat or two ?

Big W... Has to be a long while since they swept the Astros, maybe even taking a series from them. PCA with the big bomb and more very good pitching

You think so ? Looked ro me like if he had caught it he would of just popped up and gunned it to first but because it got by him a bit Madrigal got a couple extra steps towards first before realizing and turned back. Oh well, hopefully that run don't cost them

This is the kind of lineup we use to see on Sundays when they would give veterans the day off so they could have 2 days off when Mondays used to be a regular day off most of time. Glad to see Happ is at least able to bat
