  1. 18 hours, 38 minutes, 52 seconds to make my draft picks. I'm curious to see what some of these times are going to be.
  2. Group A: Albert Pujols Group B: Adrian Gonzalez, Joey Votto Group C: Rickie Weeks, Carlos Beltran, Ben Zobrist Group D: Hanley Ramirez, Adam Dunn, David Wright, Jason Heyward, Ryan Zimmerman Wild Card: PM'd
  3. I will need a 3rd, 4th and 5th round to pick. :-"
  4. A draft clock would also help. :good:
  5. Sounds about right.
  6. I believe this is correct. I remember something similar happening in the same season Chris Sale was drafted. He was drafted in June...was in the majors shortly thereafter and then was claimed on waivers that same season.
  7. 16-team H2H keeper league: I trade: Lincecum & A.Rios I receive: C.Granderson & J.Hellickson My other starters are C.Hamels, G.Gonzalez, J.Garcia, B.Beachy, H.Alvarez, E.Bedard & C.Sale My lineup is D.Mesoraco, Votto, B.Phillips, Longoria, I.Desmond, D.Young, C.Beltran & A.Beltre Granderson would give me a pretty impressive lineup but in trading away Lincecum am I leaving my staring pitching a little thin? Need advice!
  8. Yes, I believe you are to pick them up if available.
  9. I think it's Starling Crosby.
  10. Don't know of any other way to contact Deven but I would think 48 hours is plenty of time to make a pick especially over a weekend. When did I make my picks? Around 4pm eastern on Saturday? I think, at least during the draft, people should put their cell numbers on the league Details - Teams & Owners page. I think right now just myself and Karen have our numbers there. This way people can receive texts when they're up.
  11. Wake me when we're in the 3rd round. I need to fill 2-3 minor league roster spots.
  12. In my other CBS league we have treated every player the same. If the player is in the database for the major league draft that player can be drafted (major or minor leaguer) If the player is added during the draft he cannot be drafted but can be picked up off waivers after the draft If the player is added at any other point during the season he can be picked up off waivers We also do our minor league draft right after the MLB draft in June. In that draft any player NOT in the CBS database, including players just drafted in the MLB draft can be selected. We then keep the list of these players in a league news story on our CBS site until the player is added to the database. At that time the team that drafted the player has 48 hours to make room for said player on their roster or release the rights to the player. Not saying that this would work in this league but it has served us well and we have not had any confusion or issues.
  13. Won't you run into the issue of some of these players being picked up off waivers if you drag it into the season or being promoted due to injury? We're also getting conflicting info from you and Juan regarding the prospect draft. Juan posted in another thread that it would be only two rounds. If Juan wants commish duties back, I'm plenty happy to return them. :) Who's running this asylum?!?

  15. Agreed. Not everyone is on at the same time so those of us that have league access more would be at an advantage. Plus I would rather not use a waiver claim to pick up minor leaguers that could be drafted. Those of us that need more than two minor leaguers should just be able to continue the draft until our minor roster is full. I also think we need to start the minor league draft ASAP. We are only in the beginning of round 6 of 12 in the major league draft and there are only 23 days until opening day.
  16. Why not? We had to ditch the prospect draft after barely completing two rounds last year because the ML draft took so long.
  17. We kind of did that last year after two rounds since it took so long for people to make picks.
  18. Can I draft a minor leaguer in the major league draft who has been in the minors prior to 2011? If so, can I immediately place him on my minor league roster if he is eligible?
  19. Here is how our league is set up for position eligibility: Your league eligibility rules for batters are 10 games played at the position this year or 20 games played at the position last year. For starting pitchers the rule is 1 games started this year or 5 last year. For relief pitchers the rule is 1 relief appearances this year or 10 last year.
  20. Yeah, I'll work something out with him. Sorry Tim. I completey forgot about giving this pick up. I sent you a counter offer with two options.
  21. We use it our other CBS league and it works (set at 24hrs)! We are about to finish our 16 team/15 round draft today which started on Feb 20th.
  22. Huh? You can't trade Carlos Santana if you don't have him.
  23. This is easily the weakest draft we've had in this league. I think the points total should drop to 1500 next year to promote a better draft with players moving around more year to year... I disagree. There were a lot of top end players that had off seasons or that missed time being injured which caused their "salary" for 2012 to be lower. For me Pujols had an off year for him. When was the last time he only scored 532 points in a season? Ryan Zimmerman also was injured for most of the season and only scored 275. In a normal season there is no way I would have been able to keep Pujols, King Felix, Zimmerman and GGon in the same offseason.
  24. Anyone that has commissioner privileges can make a pick for you.
  25. The room we will have the TV in gets some indirect light but no sunlight at all. The indirect light will also be coming from behind the TV.
