  2. no, i think we are just making it a free for all (or hopefully a waiver claim system) after 3 rounds... nobody seems to want to go on any longer, and too many people are not checking in to pass on their pick. I would like to know before I make the last pick. When would the free for all start....or....when would the waivers start? I think everyone should know this before hand. If not I could make my pick now and then go to the site and grab two additional prospects without anyone even knowing that the free for all started.
  3. uh...I thought we were drafting until everyone had their minor league roster filled? Those not interested in doing that were passing or being skipped. :banghead:
  4. I am OK with everything you said, but... the prospect draft should start after BA's list comes out. I would hate to see the first few drafters not have the list and the rest have the advantage of having it. I believe the subscribers get the list early. I would hate to see them having an advantage over everyone who is not a subscriber. BA is not the only authority on prospects.
  5. I'm under the assumption that Clint wants at least three more players... You assume correctly.
  6. In my other CBS league we started our draft on 02.20.12 (15 rounds) with a 24 hour draft clock. Our draft was complete on 03.08.12. Remove the last three rounds and it would end a couple days sooner. That would give us plenty of time to do a 2-3 round amateur draft before the season started.
  7. Well, considering that I was wrong before ... It was my understanding that any prospect not taken in our spring draft could be picked up as a free agent during the season. That the only players that I could not pick up during the season were players drafted in this June's MLB draft and international signee's not available during Roadkill's draft. Once a player had passed through one prospect draft unselected, then he was fair game. Am I wrong again? This is my understanding of the rule as well.
  8. [-X Wrong league. #-o
  9. I'd say it's an unfair advantage to have 15 pitchers on your team which prevents others from adding those guys. Esp now that we have the "anything to get 7 starts" rule, holding extra SPs screws other teams. The players that are going to get released though for the most part will be crap and not worth starting on any other team.
  10. Essentially this first period (today through Sunday 4/8) is a short week like that after the all-star break. We could either use the amount of starts we use for that week or just go with the standard 7 since all teams will be starting with a fresh rotation (1, 2, 3, etc).
  11. I'd also agree with this. If people want to keep it in March then the major league draft HAS to start sooner and also incorporate the draft clock so that way whether or not a team is on auto or not the system will make the pick at the end of the designated time allowed.
  12. 1) With the wacky way baseball scheduled this stupid two game set I would fine giving everyone a pass for these two games. With that being said, any roster that is illegal going forward for the remainder of the season should receive zero points any day their roster is illegal. There is a way the league to automatically keep track of that. 2) Already done. 3) Agreed. 4) Also agreed. 5) http://t2.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcRNf6owJzx5jzNb2AeXMNRkhW7PFIlRS_nUt3KnObEpDf-Dk6jT
  13. BTW, the prospects picked up earlier have been released. I have a feeling though it won't increase the speed of the prospect draft.
  14. I can't tell if you're serious or not but I wouldn't have a problem with it.
  15. I don't think we can keep going since players have already been picked up via waivers. Picks can keep happening. If I'm instructed to drop the players I picked up I'm more than happy to do so: G.Concepcion R.Golden N.Molina
  16. Why wouldn't Concepcion be available for the prospect draft? I can't find anywhere stated Concepcion isn't eligible for this season.
  17. It doesn't help when you have to read through dozens of threads and hundreds of posts to find a single ruling.
  18. Just going by what was done last season. I figured just to go ahead and act now before I lost out by doing nothing.
  19. Is the prospect's draft officially over? Bazingas picked up a couple of minor leaguers so is it ok to start picking up players??? I'm just going by what we did last season. Once the season started the prospect draft was halted and those of us who still needed to fill positions had to scour the free agent market. viewtopic.php?p=2593854#p2593854
  20. A card laid is a card played. ;)
  21. Someone with Commish powers need to change the roster limits back so that teams can tell they are illegal. Right now it shows every team is legal. Either that or guys forgot today was "soft" opening day. :-k
  22. VMart and De La Rosa are actually on the DL so I'm good.
  23. I am also a candidate for round 3 & 4. I should no longer need round 5.
  24. We need the draft order for Round 3.
  25. IE 8 & 9 are the ones having the problem. Another issue is offering/accepting/declining trades. IE 7 works fine as does Firefox and Chrome.
