  1. You're mixing issues. the minor league status is a one time thing. once they hit the mark, they no longer have minor league status. exemptions are counted by years they hit the mark, so johnson's year with 4 starts doesn't count. Which would then make him exempt for one more season?
  2. All the best to you Mark. You have been an asset to this league and hopefully at some point soon you'll come back.
  3. Once a player hits their limit when they lose minor league eligibility the three year clock begins. What happens if during on of those years that player doesn't hit those marks? For example, in 2006 Josh Johnson had 24 starts and so his three years of exemptness began but the following season he only had 4 starts. Does that year still count against the exempt years?
  4. As you probably already know, I asked a few vitals before I hit the accept button on the trade. I didn't even think to ask whether you knew who was or wasn't exempt. I thought you included Young in the proposal knowing he was low points after a rough season. We can discuss a way to fix this on Friday. I was thinking in the other league mode where the player loses minor league status after 130 AB. ](*,)
  5. Chris Young (CF) is no longer exempt, is he? :cray:
  6. Eh. I wish somebody would trade with me so I don't have to keep agonizing over this. In light of recent events...I've changed again. Kinsler will be my keeper. I'm still planning on reviewing all of my trade offers. I have some work I need to finish up first. Work?!? Where are your priorities? ;)
  7. I was but I have no idea what my records were. I think BigBadB took over my old team so I'll have to check his team history for my Roadkill past. oh, the site has the standings from prior years . . . glad you decided to jump in Clint. Yeah, I found them and have decided not to post those records. ](*,) Glad to be back Juan! Thanks for the invite. :good:
  8. Are the player salaries based on their point totals from 2009?
  9. I'm in......Bazinga!
  10. If you have commissioner access you can add me. All you have to do is add my e-mail address to the team I am taking over. The system should send me an e-mail that I have been added to the league. If you can't then go wake up Juan!!
  11. Someone must have had the team between us. My old team name was Chemical Persuasion.

  13. My keeper roster: Exempt Players Billy Butler Joey Votto Chris Coghlan Gordon Beckham Travis Snider Francisco Liriano Gio Gonzalez Daniel Bard Non-Exempt Players: 2113.3 points (out of 2190) Jayson Werth- 545 Grady Sizemore- 371 Felix Hernandez- 657.8 Josh Beckett- 539.5 Minor Leaguers Tyler Flowers Starlin Castro Casey Crosby Aaron Crow Sean Rodriguez Jeremy Hellickson Aaron Poreda Dayan Viciedo
  14. As soon as I get access to my roster, let's talk.
  15. I think the Cubs are looking at a second or third place finish. The Cards are still the class of this division and the Brewers could have a strong season. I don't like the makeup of the Houston roster. Dusty will continue to kill all the Reds pitchers. The Pirates are...well, the Pirates.
  16. I asked him before and his response was lukewarm at best. Did you expect anything more from a White Sox fan? ;) Hey, you have Juan Pierre now. How could you not be excited? ;) He's this seasons Scott Podsednik. 8-[
  17. Wow, I've never seen Cub fans so downtrodden as you guys were in the beginning of this thread.
  18. What is the cost of the league? Can I pay by paypal? If not, email me the address to send the money, rmaglente@yahoo.com The cost is $10 per year. The address (posted in the "2010 Site Ready" thread) is: Juan Sorensen 2590 Farmers Central Road Woodland, California 95776 I don't believe he has PayPal (he hasn't mentioned it as a payment option in the past), but he can confirm that for you. Does he accept food stamps?

  20. As you can tell I haven't been keeping this up. :-$
  21. Did I miss something or do I still have to much Cruzan Rum and Carib Beer left in me from the 7-night cruise to care?
  22. I would blame most of that on the Red Sox rather than the Twins. I could see how you would think that. But I know for a fact tickets from Minneapolis/St Paul to Ft Myers go up because of the Twins. My bad. I thought you said, "prices in that area get jacked up....."
  23. Sandberg manager and Maddux pitching coach when Lou is gone?
  24. I would blame most of that on the Red Sox rather than the Twins.
  25. I would be willing to bet there are more babes in Southwest Florida during spring break/spring training than there are in the Phoenix area. As far as "washed up" Cougars I think not. Cougar Town doesn't take place in Sarasota County by mistake. ;)
