  1. The combination of his plate discipline, contact rates, and contact quality. Remember those first 2-3 months this season there were a lot of posts showing the total package was quite rare. He cooled off a little bit but those traits are still there. Shaw's contact quality plainly makes me nervous. Yes, Pedro has had some fortuitous soft contact lately but its the first 100 PA of his career. I think he has a higher floor and ceiling.
  2. I did not know I could love you any more, Kerry. 3.5K views · 37K reactions | The 2x MLB All-Star returned to Wrigley... WWW.FACEBOOK.COM The 2x MLB All-Star returned to Wrigley Field to throw one of the best trick pitches you’ll ever see...
  3. Good, let's see what Muhammad brings to the table.
  4. We've seen quite a bit of Shaw and that contact quality is just frightening. If they are viewed equally across suitors then im moving him before Ramirez. Pedro is also younger with a little bit more team control. I think he's a decent approximation of everything Happ brings to the table. He doesn't need to be a 120 bat IMO. You never know how the IF to OF conversion is going to go until it takes place but he's plenty athletic enough; bsr could offset some of the off and def value Happ brings. A 110 bat is certainly possible. There's currently 73 qualified hitters at 110 and about 20% of them are on pace for about 10-15 HR. OBP goes a long way. I digress.
  5. You dont necessarily need pop to post good batting lines FWIW. I think as he matures he will post good OBP.
  6. I didn't mean he would come out and be a 120 bat but i think from a profile standpoint they share similarities that could lend well to Pedro being pretty good in LF. I would expect he would post a higher BA but lower slug, maybe similar OBP. They are curated PA and he got lucky with some weak doubles, but I think his plate discipline will only get better and he has a track record of being really good in that respect. The batted ball numbers are pretty good. Personally there's only a couple potentially available SP I would trade him for.
  7. I wish it would be Pedro in LF. He has the speed and arhleticism. Hes basically like Happ without the whiffs. He could become quite good out there. The bat looks legit too.
  8. I can't believe Caleb horsefeathers Durbin got a fg article before Pete. Honestly I thought they would do one for Pete for his rare 3-win month. He's only slightly come down in July but he's still likely to lead the league again and might post the 2nd highest month (at 1.8, Yordan pushed 2.1 in April) across the league. The level of dominance came go ignored.
  9. You have to challenge that pitch, especially when you have both challenges left in the 8th inning.
  10. Just way too many pitches left in the heart of the zone. Glad they came to their senses.
  11. Best Cub ever. This is absolutely nuts. Is he at 7 fwar now?
  12. Its mind-blowing how high his ceiling is. Rarefied air.
  13. Honestly thought his stuff had wicked movement when he first pitched this year but he was all over the place.
  14. Glad to get the win. This team would be out of the race if it weren't for Pete.
  15. Way to completely suck, Nico. Why the horsefeathers did you swing at that first pitch? And then compound it by swinging at the next one too. Learn to leverage your ABs and you might get back on track. My goodness.
  16. I don't think any team does
  17. LeBron signs with Philly. Quite an offseason for them. Not banking on Embiid playing more than 50 games or being 100% for the playoffs though. But that's quite a lineup on paper.
