  1. Only problem I have is Heyward hitting 5th but we will likely get Locke out of there early and then he will be there to feast on the righty reliever.
  2. Herrera looking like another early extension underachiever
  3. Contreras last 30 days: 299/364/507 with a palatable 23.4 K% Rizzo heated up as well, controlling the zone with an 18:10 BBK (albeit 4 IBB) and slugging 6 dongs Bryant probably having the worst BABIP luck of his life with a .179 One more random note: Cubs position players from 2010-2014 produced 76.5 fWAR. Cubs position players from 2015-today have produced 71.2 fWAR and will likely double that early-decade amalgamation by the end of 2019
  4. Astros position players aren't close to as well rounded as the ours played last year and their rotation is 2 pitchers strong, but their pen is crazy good. 6 guys with FIPs under 3.
  5. We're gonna have to work on this name. Buttery?
  6. Monty is unbelievable. What a gangster.
  7. Please get some soft contact here Mikey
  8. That was a fast decision for such a close play
  9. Almora just said horsefeathers this platoon horsefeathers. Great AB getting into the 3-1 count.
  10. Actually a very efficient 4 innings. Let's put up a crooked number and save the pen tonight.
  11. Fast riser describes Rucker and myself at the moment
  12. Well Yadi just gunned down Hamilton at 3rd
  13. His plate discipline being what it will always be, I do appreciate that we are getting more of the full Javy experience offensively. I could see him rocking 30 homers. Now let's hope he gets back to the wizardry he displayed at 2B last year.
  14. Justin Bour has a 242 wRC+ since May 10 Justin. Bour.
  15. I'd be down with a Straily/Phelps package and a Cahill/Hand as well. As far as getting a controllable arm, Gray is probably the most feasible and I would want Hendriks too, if we went that route.
  16. I saw some things that I really like as well. Rizzo hard oppo contact Schwarber, not only the GS, but had a critical 2-out walk to bring Happ up tonight Almora with a huge hit off of a very tough pitch from a RHP Happ crushed a couple pitches that were pretty high in the zone, his big weak spot Good stuff. And the defense played really well. Sucks that Hendricks has had a couple bad innings lately but I'm thinking they are largely anomalous and he will get back into a groove.
  17. They are certainly finding their footing at home. Great series.
