  1. He struck out something like 100 batters in the minors last year as a reliever and walked like 5. Yeah I know he had a massive breakthrough season but this is my first look at him. Repertoire looks an awful lot like Wade's. Sent from my SM-N900T using Tapatalk
  2. This Holder dude is Wade'ing us. Sent from my SM-N900T using Tapatalk
  3. Agreed but the bb% drains a slight bit of optimism Sent from my SM-N900T using Tapatalk
  4. Monty is a beast at stranding runners Sent from my SM-N900T using Tapatalk
  5. advancements implies that he was bad at it before(I don't think that's the case), but yes, Russell was very good on high fastballs last year, especially in the second half Yeah that's what I'm talking about. He was pretty bad in the first half and then after some tweaks he really turned a corner and was way better in the 2nd handling those pitches. Whatever developments that occurred look to have not stuck. Pitchers are relentlessly attacking him there. Sent from my SM-N900T using Tapatalk
  6. Didn't Russell make some big advancements last year in hitting the high fastball? Sent from my SM-N900T using Tapatalk
  7. Ok Rizzo time to wake the F up Sent from my SM-N900T using Tapatalk
  8. Put the ball in play please Kyle Sent from my SM-N900T using Tapatalk
  9. Oh horsefeathers, we can do this! Great AB Javy Sent from my SM-N900T using Tapatalk

  11. Willson might have earned that strike earlier Sent from my SM-N900T using Tapatalk
  12. http://www.baseballprospectus.com/sortable/index.php?cid=975507 Sent from my SM-N900T using Tapatalk You're looking at 2011, the Cubs are currently 17th. They were 3rd or 4th when I checked a couple weeks back, which doesn't surprise me since it coincides with the rotation going 5 IP and giving up rockets the first time through the order for 20 straight games. Man my bad wtf Sent from my SM-N900T using Tapatalk
  13. horsefeathers really? I guess that makes sense. Going from historically great to bottom 5 in def eff helps explain going from best starters ERA in baseball to bottom 5 in baseball. http://www.baseballprospectus.com/sortable/index.php?cid=975507 Sent from my SM-N900T using Tapatalk
  14. Being bottom 5 in defensive efficiency is mind blowing Sent from my SM-N900T using Tapatalk
  15. Nm don't wanna go there Sent from my SM-N900T using Tapatalk
  16. The offense needs to get its horsefeathers together, particularly Russell and Contreras Sent from my SM-N900T using Tapatalk
  17. His stuff still looks good. He just didn't control his pitches consistently enough. But that's been the theme for the team. A lot of walks. Never should have brought the leading run to the plate. Sent from my SM-N900T using Tapatalk
  18. Yeah worst loss of the season to date. The kind that ruins a day. Sent from my SM-N900T using Tapatalk
  19. Pretty perfect sliders Sent from my SM-N900T using Tapatalk
  20. Time for Javy to be his usual vs LHP Javy Sent from my SM-N900T using Tapatalk
  21. Hey there's some good luck Let's beat this horsefeathers Sent from my SM-N900T using Tapatalk
  22. "Coveted" seems very strong. He can be the Rashad Crawford piece in a 4 player trade for a rental. Or maybe the McKinney piece. But, these guys aren't who make or break deals, so I don't think too much about guys in our 15-45 range. That part gets figured out, its the "De La Cruz can be yours, but Clifton can't be" and higher up the food chain than them, that gets deals done. In this exact case, for him to become MORE than that type of piece, I'd think he'd need to put up an .850 OPS or so, for the entire year, for teams to buy in......He was sub-.700 at both A ball levels and this could just be his "one shining moment" in his baseball career. Yeah that's pretty much what I meant. Not sought after, but certainly a guy who perks up the scouts enough to go on the list. Or maybe he just goes to Iowa after we trade Candy. On Jeimer, does anybody think a trade with Atlanta could happen for one of their young arms? They're currently getting absolutely nothing from the 3B position. They wouldn't trade Newcomb probably but Folty seems to be coming along and would be a nice MORP. Plus their farm is also loaded. horsefeathers Hector just did that Sent from my SM-N900T using Tapatalk
  23. Can't even challenge that. What a [expletive]. Sent from my SM-N900T using Tapatalk
