What do you guys think about trading for Neil Walker? Mets fans think he'll go soon in a waiver deal.

I forget the exact date of the injury but IIRC (Duke cited the date a couple wks ago) it was some time in the last week of May. If we draw the line at 5/26 that gives him 162 PA before the injury and 162 PA after. Before: 261/352/458 After: 184/280/270 It sure seems like this dude should have stayed on the DL and not just protected against LHP. We all know how tricky wrist injuries can be. I refuse to believe age caught up with him after he posted a 380 OBP as a 35 year old, and has been having a rather great year defensively at 2B. It's probably safe to say that that wrist won't heal this season if he keeps trying to play through it, but it's also possible that it won't heal in time for the playoffs even with rest. But I don't think we should be taking that chance. Do you think he should be shut down for the season? I know it would mean a whole lot of Seal Boy, but at this point, Zo has been immeasurably uglier to watch. It's obviously doing no good trying to play through it.

Fuckin Kelli, man... that's exciting. Good eye, not totally lacking for contact, power is existent, plus plus speed, and I have to think with stealing high volume efficiency like that he gets excellent leads and jumps. The whole league knows he's green lit and they can't catch him. This guy has a high ceiling. -

This KB slump has gone on too long. I'm predicting 5 dongs by the 7th inning and then they throw at his head and we brawl and Lackey scalps Harper with his teeth.
