Really good AB He will probably double the amount of unintentional walks he drew in the first half, in the second half. Good stuff.

Frankoff and Rosario DFA as expected Now it's between Hannemann, Leatherface, and Pierce for the last spot to make room for Martin I hadn't realized how well Maples has induced GB and suppressed HR throughout his milb career. Only at 2 stops did he induce less than 60% GB and one of those was a 5 inning sample. He's allowed 6 HR in a little over 200 pro innings as well. Good stuff. Hopefully he reins in the control a little but I'm not expecting much better than his AA/AAA runs this year.

Went 17-12 in August but probably should've been like 21-8 with a RD around +60 Stupid pen Oh and we did that largely without Willy, Addy, and a broken Lester for a few starts

If I had to guess, with the Martin trade, I'd say Almora, Caritini and one or 2 of the minor league arms For Verlander? Maybe you mean that deal would go down in the offseason (although I think the Cubs like the idea of a cheap backup C for the next 6 years and want to hold onto him) because there's no way they could trade those guys this year. If they wanted him tonight it would probably be like Alzolay, Rucker, D.J., another arm... maybe?

Short went 3-3 with 3 walks and pushed his OPS over 800 with MB -
I stopped following the game but damn that pisses me off

Couple weeks ago we scored 13 and 9 in consecutive wins against the Reds but that was definitely an outlier for this season

The league adjusted very well to Paredes after he went on that HR binge 155/285/180 in his last 75 PA -

My understanding is any player on the 40 has to pass through waivers to be traded so you're looking at guys like Alzolay and such who would head the deal.
