  1. That was a nice run by Watson Damn our offense is gonna be so much better with a QB who can escape the rush.
  2. Hester's efficiency hopefully gets heavily taken into account His TD/return is so far out of anybody else's league If only they didn't outlaw the wedge
  3. Joe is expecting a Kyle type who throws low 90s. He also hinted that he could play a role beyond the rotation, this season. Taylor Davis says he commands both sides of the plate with 4-5 different pitches and threw with more confidence when he reached AAA.
  4. 1. It is 12 innings 2. All this does is counter the argument that Wilson has been unlucky, which no one is making 3. It is 12 innings and therefore is impossible to be predictive given Wilson's larger body of work 4. Sometimes I wish pitch f/x had never been invented 5. 12 innings I was only pointing it out to illustrate how out of whack it's been compared to the bigger, much better sample. When I said it spells trouble I didn't mean that it spelled trouble moving forward; I see how it reads like that though. I should have worded it better. I was just basically saying that when all of those factors converge, you're probably not gonna have much success (in that sample)
  5. Sunday's game - which we really should have won - affirmed many people's beliefs that the team is good now and can probably hang with just about any team. The playbook is clearly mitigated due to Glennon's athleticism and that has to be frustrating for everybody - coaches, players, execs, etc. There's a very visible ceiling for the offense and the receivers' lack of separation would be a lot less noticeable with a QB who is able to extend plays and create passing lanes with mobility and improvisation This isn't even scratching the surface, as there is a world of difference in their release and ball placement, which are hugely important factors in a QBs ability, and just open up so much more offensive potential for the team. That said Pace really put his stamp on Glennon and paid a pretty penny to have him on the team and it's just difficult to see them actually abandon that experiment so quickly. Unless he comes out and is just an unbridled disaster then I think he's gonna get several starts to show his stuff. If he keeps taking hits like he did Sunday he won't last long anyway. He's just helpless against a blitz. He needs to improve a lot on his pre-snap reads, identify the hot route and get rid of the damn ball or he's gonna keep getting destroyed. Those hits hurt to watch.
  6. All of his discipline numbers are taking a horsefeathers as a Cub Oswing down from 31 to 22 Zswing up from 67 to 72 Ocontact way up from 65 to 79 Zcontact up from 73 to 80 Total contact from 70 to 80 Zone down from 47 to 44 Somehow he's throwing more first pitch strikes from 51 to 55 Swstr from 14 to 9 That all spells trouble
  7. Rhys Hoskins has 16 HR in just 139 PA. He's going to obliterate the record of fastest to 20, which I believe Gary Sanchez set last year at 220something.
  8. His contact rate on pitches in the zone was elite all year but with us he just hasn't thrown strikes with any consistency.
  9. With her and Rex it was more like a high school broadcast. With some work maybe Rex can get on Dennis Miller's level.
  10. Need Mr Bryant to stop being a horsefeathering [expletive] and get back to being a true middle order bat
  11. What kind of defense wouldn't stress the importance of taking the ball away...
  12. This team is not very far off at all. Get a high pick, trade back a few times and target Receivers, Tackles, Secondary, and pass rushers One more draft like the last couple and we are in business
  13. Fully expect Wright to get the season ender next week. That's our 1 and "2" in a 3 week span.
  14. White looks overwhelmed on an NFL field
