    Which means there's no way in hell he did NOT know he was coming into a no-hitter, as he was extra amped in a 4-0 game. By his reaction to the final out it sure didn't seem like he knew. I believe the pen. There were a lot of baserunners so if they weren't paying close attention (as has been said you can't see the scoreboard from the pen) I could see how they didn't realize what was happening.

    This was really a master class in suppressing hard contact. Only 3 BIP over 100, 6 over 90. Really only Taylor's lineout in B1 looked like a hit off the bat but that didn't even reach the track IIRC.

    Growth from Pat Williams and acquiring a PG would push them into playoff territory. Probably not enough to get them past the first round but Knicks fans had a lot to be excited over this year and unless you get another true superstar you usually need to crawl before you run They need some more shooters and big improvement on defense. How realistic are the chances of getting Lonzo?

    Been watching the highlights of his dongs and he's been handling a lot of pitches that he really failed massively on when with the Cubs. Granted it's basically a 2 weak tear he's on and he's still only at an 844 OPS... really seems like he'd be higher... but anyway I've seen him turn on a couple fastballs that were well above the zone, breaking balls on the outer half that he's gone oppo on. Dude is locked the hell in right now.

    Girardi requests 3 checks on Mad Max, the final being in the middle of an inning. Then when Max takes issue with the last check, Girardi ramps up the baseball action by trying to incite a fight, and gets ejected. This what you wanted, MLB?

    Made the mistake of drafting him in fantasy a couple years ago and it was nice how he filled up the rest of the stat sheet, but infuriating to watch how freaking much he defers and especially cowers in the final quarter. And this dude is owed, what, 140-150m over the next 4 years? Yeeeeesh.

    Ben Wallace was slightly worse over an entire season. That Simmons stretch is 33.8%. Wallace was 80-238 for 33.6% in 2000-2001. Holy horsefeathers thats unspeakably awful. I knew he was bad but I didn't realize he was barely over 40% for his career.

    Davis' last 4 games have been really good. 3:0 BBK with a HR and a 2B
