He was only going to cover one inning. Saving him for the seventh when the Reds would have better hitters due up is not a bad decision. You don't need to be so rigid with your usage. The rest of the league has seemed to figure this out. Could easily have asked Chafin to get 4 or 5 outs and handed it to Kimbrel.
To Yelich? Not apples to apples; just that it looks like they potentially got a legit star-quality player for a low cost. Adames is mashing with Milwaukee. Went 3-3 with another HR tonight. saying he's a star because of like 40 games probably isn't smart. saying he'll be anything close to what they got with yelich is dumb. we can trash the cubs and admit they are a trainwreck without sucking off the brewers This is the general baseball forum you dick
is this a serious comparison? To Yelich? Not apples to apples; just that it looks like they potentially got a legit star-quality player for a low cost. Adames is mashing with Milwaukee. Went 3-3 with another HR tonight.
Really? This is like the 10th or 11th best season of my 40 year life. Don't even try to pretend like some of those early 90s Tribune owned teams were any fun beyond 2 or 3 players. Just a week ago they were 10 games over 500.
I don't know wtf they're waiting for. They are severely lacking bats and they don't really have a CF worth a horsefeathers. The Sogard experience has to end sometime, right? Neifi effing Perez all over again. At least Neifi hit 400 for a month and hit a big granny against the Cardinals though
The Brewers trade for Adames is looking like Yelich all over again. He's at about 150 PA with both teams now. With Rays: 7/36 BB/K%, 197/254/371 74 wRC+ With Brewers: 11/24 BB/K%, 280/362/523 wRC+ If he maintains that for the rest of the year he would post career best numbers in pretty much every category. And last year he was 25% above average for 54 games. This was quite a shrewd move. They have him for 3 seasons after this one also. Stearns with another coup.

This basically summed it up for me but don't forget the 8 pickoff throws while Hiura, the 500 OPS monster, was at the plate. Just horsefeathering focus on the [expletive] hitter, not Jace horsefeathering Peterson.
Statcast says Ohtani's 116 mph line shot off the catwalk above the RCF bleachers in Tampa only went 453 feet. I have my doubts. What a monster shot hooooly shiiiit
