So many top prospects that raked through milb have fallen flat on their face this year. The league is really freakin tough.
Baty just got demoted after going 0-25 and has a 77 wRC+ on the year
Vientos is probably not gonna last long with his 53 in about 100 PA
Bo Naylor has a 79
CJ Abrams is running a 96
Gabriel Moreno has an 82
Colton Cowser has 7 hits in 70 PA
Henry Davis has an 84
I see a dude that guesses a lot and seems to determine that he will swing at the pitch before it is delivered. And he is painfully slow to adjust to shifts in approach to him, as well as when he realizes his pre-determination was off. You see a lot of flailing, all upper-body swinging. The leg kick leads to awful timing too often.
He only swings at 12% of the first pitches to him. I think that's a big problem. The league is aware that it's easy to get ahead on him. He has raised his meatball swing% 6% from last year, but is still below the league average at 72 vs 76. When you watch him, this is really obvious. he gets caught guessing and watches a fastball right down the pike.

Our position players lead MLB with 7.7 fwar, 2nd best is LAD at 6.8. We have a 5.8 bsr, almost double that of 2nd place, basically just killling teams with steals (2nd with 30) and damn near everyone is taking the extra base.
The Cubs offense has scored in double digits 18 times this year.
Most of PSD just does not believe in the journeyman or several-years-removed-from-positive-value comeback cases and I get it. We are sick of scrap heap scavenging, but if you hit on one of those it's almost like getting a rookie because they will be cheap AF for several seasons. Tauchman is a boon to the roster if he doesn't fall back off a cliff next year.
Luke Little, if he can rein in those walks, could be absolutely lethal
He has a 40% K, 50% GB, .180 BAA
But he has a 18(!) % BB which makes him unplayable ATM, and he's in AA.
Assuming you weren't talking about Brendon.
