  1. Generous call there
  2. Welcome to the NFL Tyler
  3. At least the Panthers keep sucking. Poles has quite a decision to make.
  4. Ugh what a shame game for Fields
  5. I really don't see an org that is living in the contact management/good defense arena doing that
  6. I would think you would try to see if Soto can hack it at 1B instead of dramatically downgrading LF or strictly making him DH
  7. Love seeing Lynn get destroyed like that
  8. 3 homers allowed by Lynn in the 3rd. Sink those fangs in.
  9. Astros about to go to their 7th straight ALCS. Freaking crazy..
  10. I really didn't expect the Phillies to bounce back like this
  11. I'll take 2024 Soto and a 2nd round comp pick easy. I could see the Cubs FO agreeing that renting him for the year could be worth it.
  12. I had not noticed before but Mookie has just a 93 wRC+ across 260 postseason PA. 4 HR and an ISO of .128. Hope he stays in his funk because I want the Dodgers to lose again.
  13. Because there is plenty of recent precedent for it. And of all those star players that were traded in their final year of control, Soto has the highest projected salary. You know, come to think of it, I prefer Corbin Carroll any way. Yes, we are all plenty aware that Ohtani is available for just money.
  14. So people discuss Soto, who's been mentioned in plenty of articles, by actual insiders, to be available, and you shoot them down continuously out of your own beliefs that he is not actually available, and then you mention Kyle Tucker, a player who, for all intents and purposes, has been a 5 fwar player 3 years running and has two years of remaining control on a team that does well extending their own players, as a wish target. Come on, man.
  15. lol another error
  16. Yeah that's where I'm at too. Give them Alcantara and, if necessary, someone like Perlaza, who could slot right into the OF and helps the 40. Perlaza has been 120+ in consecutive seasons at the 3 most important stops. He could surprise with the bat.
  17. They still have a couple waves of elite prospects coming through. I think it would have been cool to see Hyde win but they just didn't have the pitching. Texas wore that staff out, ground them to dust.
  18. You're lucky if you get 100 innings out of him. He's not a guy I would pursue, I just don't think he'll provide enough value at 25m.
  19. Got caught up in the headline of the notification and didn't read the article before I posted
  20. Sonny Gray's lethal sweeper just got sent to St Paul and the Twins are in a 4 run hole in the 1st
  21. I don't think it's only that. In those handful of games he played there - granted not even a sample size - he stayed back on balls he should have charged and he simply didn't have the anticipation on BIP to get his feet set for his throws. I'm sure the org had plenty of looks behind the scenes and just felt he would cost them on more than just errors. It sure would be nice if he could play 3rd, he has a rocket arm and athleticism to spare.
  22. Is that a bad read by Harper or do you guys think most players would have done the same? It became pretty apparent at home (lol) that Harris had a good chance to make a play on the ball. Such high stakes for Harper to go so far past 2nd.
  23. This made me curious. Who's the last Wolverine the Bears drafted? Was it A-Train?
