  1. Give em the trophy. Now up 9-1! Horton has 3 walks but still has a decent strike-rate.
  2. His offense slumped off a cliff like 8 weeks ago and he would be the worst baserunner on the team with proration. I still want his glove in CF though.
  3. I don't think Ross is a fan of PCA's baserunning
  4. We should have signed Hargrave. That was a big horsefeathers up.
  5. I agree with this completely. Morel basically is a more athletic Patrick Wisdom. The offense can tantalize at times but it's not consistent and comes with gaping chasms of nothingness and he doesn't bring value anywhere else. He's probably likely a 2 win player in his best form but he's a homegrown guy so we tend to give him more grace.
  6. Last year they had "an identity". I dislike using that phrase but it's pretty obvious they really excelled at running the football. They haven't been able to do that this year because the OL has almost totally fallen apart. But they signed Davis thinking they were adding another road grader to the line, they signed Foreman, etc. They wanted to lean into their strength even more and just aren't able to with the bodies they still have out there. Without Fields gashing the defense on the ground they're just not going to do horsefeathers. This cannot be how they envisioned using Moore. I feel for that dude. He produced in Carolina with crap QBs because he was a major focal point and he got a lot of targets. This is going to turn toxic and the Bears will probably trade him for a 3rd or something. Stop punting. Your defense can't stop anyone and they're going to get gassed early trying to defend long fields. Stop kicking FG down 40 in the 2nd half. There are no moral victories. Nothing is gained in that. It is really hard to accept but we're looking at 3-5 years before they might be decent again.
  7. Smokies rolling. The whole lineup has done it's part today.
  8. Eberdouche must have put the kibosh on going for 4th down conversions around midfield after that debacle on opening weekend. With this defense he should absolutely never punt. Just horsefeathers to for it every time.
  9. Not watching. Did Fields take a bad sack?
  10. My hope that he would escape that was infinitesimal
  11. The record is 73
  12. The pressure of trying to hit non-four seams is really getting to the Cubs hitters. Blach just ties them into knots with junk.
  13. You horsefeathers idiots don't deserve to win when you do horsefeathers moronic horsefeathers like that. Try batting LH at all times or something, Ian. Nice AB.
  14. Pretty sure the Cubs left Brenton Doyle's scouting report on the cutting room floor
  15. Might not even get 81 wins. This has been a very sad couple of weeks.
  16. Wish we'd hire Peanut lol
  17. I haven't seen you hype the underdog so hard since Candelario. I am pretty sure Murray is gonna be a decent MLBer but dude we don't need the constant reminder of his existence.
  18. lol Pirates took notes and are gonna kitchen sink us with the ol TBD JAG who the Cubs will look hopeless against
  19. The Texans landing a 2nd franchise QB in 6 years, both in drafts in which we had a higher pick, would just be agonizing.
  20. What the horsefeathers happened to the flyballs that were a large part of the draw to adding his bat? He has had a FB rate over 40% for 2 years straight and a rate over 37% for 5 consecutive years. Yet here he is with the Cubs posting his worst FB rate since 2017 and a consequent GB rate of 45%, highest since the same year. Why are the Cubs struggling so mightily to get the ball off the ground?
