  1. Agree with all of these. That Mets series was horsefeathers. They faced average arms and scored most of their runs on solo homers, pitched to Alonso too much, and blew a prime opportunity. They can't afford to lose series to ****** teams. Feeling a little anxious about this stretch of the schedule. The offense has cooled down some and SP are prone to get beat up a bit lately.
  2. So it doesn't appear that anyone will catch William Contreras in catcher framing, unless he just completely falls apart. He leads by 5 runs over 2nd place, 12-7. How the hell is Milwaukee so good at catcher instruction? This dude, Narvaez, Caratini... Lucroy possibly qualifies, IDK.
  3. I don't care at all about this award but I do find it amusing that his only real compeitition for it is Yelich. Just like old times.
  4. PCA is gonna hit for a lot of power. Can't wait to see him in Wrigley next year.
  5. Major props to Cuas for steadying the ship as well after that ugly 6th
  6. Thank God. I sensed a ****** little blooper coming to take the lead.
  7. That was pretty great location but total bummer. He hasn't been the lockdown guy lately.
  8. I honestly had only read an exciting scouting report on a Cubs P draft pick maybe a handful of times throughout 2013-2021. It was tiresome reading all of the hope the pitchability is met with velocity in the future blurbs. Turned into a wasteland across the system when we needed it the most and caused us to make some drastic trades as we all know. I understand the injury-risk had to be considered but they went too far in that direction. I am glad to see them take more "live" arms these days, and the development afterward is easy to have confidence in. Nice to have Merryweather, Alzolay, hopefully Palencia improves his control, and Little will help give the pen a boost as well... maybe Burdi. That is some serious velo coming at you. Just pray they can throw strikes.
  9. So the OL got embarrassed today and twice *ahem*, Rasheem Green, blew past Darnell Wright for "sacks". I feel like no matter the circumstances that sentence should never be factual. That is unacceptable IMO.
  10. I definitely got caught up in the hype lol
  11. It's a smart move. The rotation could use the boost big time. That's the type of arm that can really change a staff's outlook. Just really glad they pulled the trigger. Exciting!
  12. This series was a 12-6 cold shower man. Total bummer.
  13. When we had that string of really stupid bunts earlier this season wasn't that pretty much the start of the terrible slump they endured? I just don't understand how this dude keeps thinking these are prudent decisions.
  14. High heat still a huge kryptonite for most of this team. Hate to say it but Showalter pulled all the right strings on this game. Going to Hartwig that early threw off the offense. Ross had a really bad game.
  15. Worst K of the season for Morel. Right down the pike.
  16. I thought Horton was supposed to go tonight
