The Blue Jay's AA team scored 8 runs in the 2nd inning before they got a hit lmfao
Walk, walk, wp, K, SF, walk, walk, walk, HBP, wp, walk, hbp, wp, walk, walk, wp, single 😂
Love what im seeing from most of our most exciting prospects so far this year. Rojas looks like hes gonna be in AAA in a couple months. They might need to make room on the MLB team for Alcantara. Hes certainly looking to force the hand. A lot of guys off to really hot starts. Hartshorn is doing horsefeathers we haven't seen in our system from a prep kid in who knows how long. I cant recall anyone hitting the ground running like this.
Theres no reason to challenge this team with fastballs. They will chase them and simply cannot do any damage to secondary pitches. Mo has fallen right into their pattern.
By these guys do you mean every person in existence? The Cubs literally had the lowest TJ rate for the 10 years prior to last season. Their method was basically, don't draft power pitchers. The best method is to load up on so many power pitchers that you have 10 more at your disposal at every turn.
Give him a chance to observe since he's been terrible. Hes gotten outside of himself, chasing high fastballs and making bad contact on changeups and pitchers pitches.
Whole team is getting pitched backward and are flailing.
Somehow things aren't nearly as bad under the hood Offensively as I suspected.
They are below the league average in chase rate. They have the 2nd highest hard-hit rate according to statcast (but way off the number fg has on standard dashboard) top 10 in EV and LA, and yet all of that has led to far below average barrel%.
Their xba is pathetic, and so is the BABIP.
You would think maybe the extreme pop-ups have inflated the LA but even the IFFB% is way below average.
