  1. I mean handing out pretzel snack packs as a last resort is fine, but you better start with candy first. I was handing out Twix and Crunch minibars to the brave souls trekking through the snow and almost ran out of candy as well. My contingency plan was handing out Ferrero Rocher, but fortunately they stopped coming before it got that dire lol.
  2. [tweet] [/tweet]WTH is wrong with George Will? horsefeathering pretzels on Halloween? That's up there with people who give out candy corn.

  4. I honestly can't tell how terrible a start the Bulls would have to endure for Boylen to get fired. They can't fire him so soon because it would again reflect poorly on GarPax and their decision-making skills. The defense looks terrible right now and this is the easy part of the schedule. The Bulls might be in the lottery again so that means the #7 pick once more...

  6. I'm in a weird place with this Bulls team. The rebuild has actually been decent and I can't complain (I will though). I like Coby White and that's who I wanted them to target after Morant in the draft. We have a good roster now, but I don't think GarPax and Boylen can finish this rebuild in a satisfactory way. Just making the playoffs isn't good enough... By that I mean they can't recruit or get any big FAs to sign here, and that's what it will take to make them true title contenders again. Brooklyn and the LA Clippers both went about rebuilding in a similar way and then added the big pieces to elevate into that top tier. I just don't see Chicago getting there in the next few years.

  8. Well, baseball justice just happened lol. Rendon is so good. I really hope the Cubs try to sign him this offseason (yeah, I know it probably won't happen).
  9. To put it mildly. I think Martinez probably put it mildly, too. That was a terrible call and Turner wasn't trying to impede the ability of the 1B to catch the throw... These umps are garbage. They better overturn this call.

  11. Thanks for sharing the full draft report card. I was surprised they gave best secondary pitch to Chris Clarke and called his CB "a potential 70-grade pitch". That's high praise. I went back and watched some video of Chris Clarke. I saw nothing I would rate as 'plus-plus' or anywhere close to that, but I saw a few good benders in this one: [bbvideo=853,480] [/bbvideo]
  12. [tweet] [/tweet][tweet] [/tweet]Great introduction and he gave good answers. I think we'll get a good boost switching from Maddon to Ross next season. Definitely more accountability and criticism of players on the team. I like this hire a lot now.
  13. Sure. I've seen worse calls too, but they were pretty bad and also context matters. The fastball was clearly outside on Robles. ---- [tweet] [/tweet]Awesome shirt.

  15. [tweet] [/tweet][tweet] [/tweet][tweet] [/tweet][tweet] [/tweet]I could totally see Rami Malek play a weird movie version of Chaim Bloom lol. Again, I find it crazy that the Red Sox fired Dave Dombrowski less than a year after the winning the WS, but it's probably the right move. Really good hire and makes trading for Mookie Betts much harder (not that the Cubs had a good chance anyway).
  16. [tweet] [/tweet][tweet] [/tweet]Super impressive. George Springer now has this career postseason line: .272/.363/.564 (.927 OPS) in 223 PAs. I don't think we can really call it a SSS at this point either.

  18. [tweet] [/tweet][tweet] [/tweet]Good win. Not sure exactly how good this version of the Bulls is, but they should be very entertaining.

  20. [tweet] [/tweet][tweet] [/tweet][tweet] [/tweet]Chris Correa and John Coppolella and now add Taubman to that list of people that will never work in MLB ever again.
