  1. [tweet] [/tweet] That's horsefeathering amazing and incredible arm strength...
  2. The best part of trading KB is that Tom will finally quit the board for good. That's the deal, right?

  4. Yeah, I drive past it every time I go back home. The big ass cross next to I-57 is so horsefeathering obnoxious... Think about the uproar if someone built a giant minaret with a crescent at the top right next to a major highway:
  5. [tweet] [/tweet][tweet] [/tweet]That's a new way to describe a prospect lol.
  6. [tweet] [/tweet][tweet]https://twitter.com/Cubs_Live/status/1201860188397096960[/tweet] Yup. They got damn lucky he didn't take that contract extension. Some posters here probably even wanted to sign him to an extension a few years back... For those people (who wanted to sign Addy to an extension):
  7. [tweet]https://twitter.com/joonlee/status/1201865235121999872[/tweet] Is he taking BP while chomping on a cigar? Yup
  8. Yeah but unfortunately for Addison, the Astros only want bad character guys who are actually good at baseball. I could see the Royals signing Addison Russell. Their starting SS (Adalberto Mondesi) had shoulder surgery and might not be ready by the start of next season. They love to sign/trade for former Cubs players and their GM has some questionable views on character/makeup/managerial hires. Dayton Moore really wanted to draft Luke Heimlich when no team wanted anything to do with him. I could totally see Addison going there and baby mama #4 happening at some point...
  9. [tweet] [/tweet][tweet] [/tweet]That's pretty good lol. I don't know why Theo felt the need to make such a lengthy statement over non-tendering Addison Russell...
  10. I also believe the Cubs' prospect list for Fangraphs will be published in January. Bill Mitchell does the Cubs list for BA right?
  11. The best we can hope for is the next time Pax steps down, JR accepts his resignation. Then hope Collins in a senior advisory role, advises JR on a replacement outside of JRs circle of comfort. I think our best hope is Doug Collins at some point telling JR he needs to hire a new GM and head coach, and that Paxson just decides it's time to step aside... There was an article saying Forman is on the hot seat, but Paxson is like Kenny Williams and will always have a job/role. If the Bulls miss the playoffs (which looks likely now) then maybe real change happens next offseason in the Bulls FO. We really need a Sam Presti type leading this organization.

  15. I think Coby White has a lot potential and will keep improving over the course of the season. Lauri looks bad, but I think he's playing through an injury. LaVine hasn't taken the next step forward or improved on defense, but he is trying harder and is still super young himself. I think we have a good foundation. We need a new head coach and obviously GarPax needs to go and be replaced with a younger progressive exec... Anyway, some nice highlights from Coby below: [tweet] [/tweet]
  16. [tweet] [/tweet]Cool. I had no idea this was cooking in the background... They planned a big announcement for today and yeah it's pretty big news. Really looking forward to reading this next year. I believe this will come out around the same time as Keith Law's next book as well.

  18. Sure. I agree with all that, but I still think the 3-pt line needs to be pushed back. Kirk Goldsberry wrote an article about this way back on Grantland showing what the court would look like with this new change. Found some illustrations of what this new court would look like: It definitely looks weird, but I believe a wider court with a farther 3-pt line would be better and help diversify how modern NBA offenses operate. The midrange game is dead right now and post play is fading away as well. I think there should be a balance between inside post play, the midrange game and long range 3-pt sniping.
  19. [tweet] [/tweet]This is crazy... They really need to move the 3-point line back and make it a uniform distance across the entire court.

  22. No way Florida gets a 3rd MLB team. When MLB decides to expand again I'm fine with moving the Rays to Montreal. They deserve better, but keep the Marlins in the baseball purgatory that is Miami because horsefeathers 'em.
  23. [tweet]https://twitter.com/rgcan18/status/1196231382873395201[/tweet] The evidence against them keeps coming... I think a loss of draft picks, a big monetary fine, loss of IFA pool money, and a lifetime ban on Jeff Luhnow and a suspension for AJ Hinch is required at this point. The quotes coming from Luhnow are just embarrassing and there is NO way he didn't know this was happening.
