This bullpen is really bad right now . They have 1 reliable arm

I don’t think they make the playoffs now with them losing all the tiebreakers outside of SF. They really looked like a team that’s hit a massive wall . With that said it’s been a fun year anyway . Didn’t think they would be playing important games this late into the season .

Assad is getting touch up pretty good . They will need a big number of runs tonight considering the bullpen situation . Not even sure Merryweather is available . Pitched in 3 of last 4

Baseball can be heartbreaking sometimes . Yesterday the Dbacks won by an inch on a ball that Suzuki almost caught . Today they just missed a HR . Can’t believe that ball didn’t go out .

Mixed bag of a series On surface 2-2 againts Cincy is a good outcome . On the other hand the game that Leiter blew cost them the season series . If the Cubs don’t make the playoffs because of a tiebreaker with the Reds , everybody will remember that one . Challenging week ahead with them having to face Webb / Gallen / Kelly . Hopefully Steele is on because he has 2 starts this week . Don’t know if he lines up againts Gallen or Kelly next weekend .
