  1. Kahnle to Tigers . Movement on relievers today . Maybe Robertson signs soon .
  2. Cubs need to be in on Michael King . Under 9 mil salary .
  3. In a scenario Where they sign Bregman and trade Nico , the net gain for the team is what they get for Nico most likely . I dont think it will come into play , as the Cubs arent signing him anyway .
  4. If he wants another year , i wouldnt do it . 36 and in decline , no thanks
  5. If he says yes , i would like to see the Cubs double down with Robertson as well . With that said i am not sure they can fit him in : Pressly , Hodge , Morgan , Merryweather , Pearson , Miller / Thielbar / Rea I dont think they are cutting Merryweather , so the only way i could see Robertson is if Assad and Brown start in AAA , and they use a piggy of Rea / Pearson for the 5th spot .
  6. The other team involved with Pressly is the Tigers . I wish Bregman signs today , so we dont have to hear the same Cubs stuff every 3 days . Cubs arent signing Bregman
  7. Looks like Bob May have jumped the gun here , but anyway . If the deal happens , my Guess is Keegan Thompson or Canario . With the signing of Berti , they have no space for Canario . They need a 1B on this roster and Thompson is out of options and likely DFA anyway when they add another reliever
  8. Cubs close to aquiring Ryan Pressley
  9. They are still favorites to win the división as of now , but yeah its been underwhelming even with Tucker . Doesnt feel like they did enough to maximize Tucker’s remaining year . I know off season isnt over , but even with a Finnegan and a bench bat , i expected more .
  10. With Yates signing with the Dodgers , my preference now is Robertson . With that said , Dodgers will probably sign him as well
  11. Kirby Yates to Dodgers . They probably use him in long relief .
  12. Nightendale story said payroll will be 220 for 2025 . That includes deadline . With that said , they are currently at 180 according to that same story . Roster resource has them at 198 , and that seems to be the number everybody is using .
  13. Scott to Dodgers . Market should get moving now
  14. As expected , signs with Dodgers . 4 / 72
  15. So earlier today Ricketts said he expected payroll around the 241 luxury tax . Tonight Nightendale wrote a story and said the Cubs 2025 payroll will be 220 . He got the into from a high rank team source which is really weird . If they are at 198 currrently , they really got like 12-15 left , considering they keep 5-10 for in season moves. If Nightendale source is right , then Ricketts lied earlier today .
  16. Ricketts said the team expects to spend around the 241 . If true that they are still 43 million under . That should give him around 33 for what is left to do this off season . Thats more than enough to get a closer and two bench bats .
  17. Very unlikely . I think he goes to the Dodgers . I hope the Cubs get Yates or Robertson .
  18. If they have the money for it , i could see a trade for Cease . He will make like 13.75 next year . If the Padres feel Cassie is ready to play LF , i wouldnt be surprised if it happens . One of Assad / Wicks would probably need to go as well . If they cant trade for a top SP , then i prefer adding the best 2 relievers they can get on 1 year deals . With that said its entirely possible all they do from this point on is Kyke Finnegan and a 3B .
  19. Yeah , he is all over the place with his sources ,
  20. Mike Rodríguez says Cubs are out .
  21. I disagree . I think Hoyers status very much could be a factor in a decisión like this . A Tucker extensión would be the biggest payroll commitment for the next 8-10 years . I have a hard time believing Ricketts would allow a guy that he isnt sure will be the president in 2025 , make that important decisión . I think they would want , the longterm payroll as clear as possible , for a potencial new front office to work with .
  22. Rogers was on ESPN 1000 and said Sasaki is now visiting cities , and hasnt heard he is visiting Chicago . Put the Cubs on the back of those conversations .
  23. Lindor agreed with the Mets before extending . Betts agree before extending . I think its more likely than they arent interested in an extensión and they are trying to save every possible dollar for 2025. . Hoyer doesnt even have a contract for next year . I doubt very much that he has the green light to do this kind of deal I think its a bad look for the organización TBH .
