    How bad do you think people are thinking? I get the feeling people see 7-9 or 8-8. Do you think better than that? I think they will be a little better, mostly on defense, but too many hurdles to be in the real hunt of the 9/10 win playoff teams. well, usually reserved and rational walterfootball had them at 4-12, and the preview piece reads like smear piece on cutler. i cannot believe so many people continue to lose their minds on him. "they can't win with him." oh yeah? so who are they going to win with, that Claussen guy? basically every publication has them last in the north. i think with Long moving to RT, they have a chance to have an above average line. that could push the offense to top 10. lol, I know you're joking, but man is that site awful. They have absolutely hated Cutler for years, and seems like they always are looking for some way for the Bears to replace him. Yep. I believe they had QB as the #1 offseason needs for the Bears for like 3 years straight now.

    Part of the fun of the US Open is that the course, the course-keepers, and everyone involved are trying to make the course ridiculously tough on the players. Nobody wants them to have an easy courses; this was just garbage basically a few steps from having putt-putt obstacles out there. This. The US Open courses the past few years were already ridiculously tough. There was no need to go to a gimmicky course (links style but on steroids).

    It was far more interesting to watch than an elegantly manicured course where the winner goes -20 Are you a golfer? Like more than just a casual golfer? Because everyone I know who play quite a bit thought this open was horrible/wasn't fun to watch at all and the people who thought it was great/interesting/fun to watch were the guys who shoot like 50+ on 9 or don't play golf. It's not fun watching these pros shooting 74+ on a par 70. I honestly thought the course was a joke. I'm glad some of the players call it out. Heck you had people getting hurt on the course from just falling. I know they wanted to make it challenging for the pros every year for the US Open and want to outdo the year before, but this course was just nuts. I would much rather see them shoot -20 on those manicured courses because you know why? Those courses are still really tough, even for single digit handicap golfer.

    thats why you let guys like jr lake do it But it's likely not Junior they throw at. It's the guy coming into the box next. And in some cases, the real [expletive] teams just throw at your best guys. They don't usually go after the best guys unless the other team pitcher hit someone (usually their best guy). At least I can't remember the last time a pitcher decided to throw at the best hitter cuz someone else stood that pitcher up on a HR, they usually go after the same guy the next time he's at the plate if they decided to do so.

    This thing where people assume Piazza took PED's is tiresome. But doesn't the same go for pretty every relevant player between 1990-2005 not named Greg Maddux? Unless, of course he's referring to the other kind of PEDmonster, in which case the list is narrowed to Mel Hall. Did every relevant player not named Greg Maddux have back acne, too? Because Mike Piazza did, so PEDmonster he is!!!! you guys forget griffey jr prolly the best non cheater hitter of that era Bonds still holds that title pre 98. Frank Thomas is better if you don't want to count Bonds. Edgar Martinez (at least I don't remember any roid rumors attached to him) is another if we're just talking about "hitter".

    You realize that he gave up 5 hits and a walk the 2nd time through the lineup right? He wasn't exactly flat out dealing.
