    It's not like they guessed curveball. He threw a couple of navel-high, down-the-middle fastballs. No he didn't - the first was shoulder high - the second was not quite as high but certainly not navel or "naval high"

    Isn't this kind of an odd video? First it makes it look like his 1st hit was a HR - then it spends more time showing the reaction of his teammates rather than showing what he actualy did on the field?

    That's exactly what I though - if he's going for the ball he should have been going left; he moved straight forward into Rizzo. The telecast also showed him giving a wink to the other infielders.

    Didn't realize there was a soccer thread until I just saw it on the "Actives Topics" so this a bit late but this is my niece scoring the only goal Team Jamaica managed in its first ever World Cup Tournament! Can't say I contributed to her success in any way, shape, or form but I couldn't be prouder!

A handful of pitchers work on a new pitch, but I can’t name any player who has converted to a switch hitter at age 27. Rich Ankiel and Brooks Kieschnick say "Yo". Kieschnick was a 1st ballot HoFer though Ankiel did have to wait until his 3rd year of eligibility.
