  1. I feel we could probably add this to some sort of permanent loop along with "The Polanco" from a few years back...maybe sync it up with some beats.
  2. Not gonna lie but I was kinda hoping Larussa was going to call in Kimbrel here.
  3. Got a new delivery of Funkos for the store and this was on top: :bye:
  4. It's been 22 PA's. Damn right it has!
  5. Schwarber has an OBP over .500 and more walks the SOs'
  6. It has to happen though, right? With all the no-hitters this year they their number has to come up at least once sooner or later.
  7. I really want that to be a 10:1 K:BB but I don't think the math supports it.
  8. I'll be pedantic here; I think Arizona's, just by virtue of being spectacularly boring, were already worse, and it seems like SF's are being very poorly received (to me they're just meh and probably about as good/bad as the Cubs'). And I know some people dug Boston's, but holy hell do I hate those. These LA ones would probably be fine except for those oh so loud blue pants. Should have gone with Los Dodgeros - That would have been awesome. I feel that was probably on the table until someone got fired. I don't mind the Cubs' at all. I like the blue on blue at least partially because you just don't see it. If they were the everyday uniforms maybe I'd feel differently. I've tried a couple of times to buy one but they never seem to have the fatty sizes.
  9. I mean he has 2.4 offensive bWar so far this year - missing a moderate amount of time (and he should get a +1 for the Pittsburgh game) I don't think that's below average - I'd almost be more worried about the spots of sloppy defense this year. He teases you every now and then - there was that week and a half where he was walking almost once a game and then he got hurt and then he seemed to revert when he came back. It's like its in there just below the surface. So horsefeathers it I'd bring him back as long as the contract wasn't silly.
  10. Just turn on the sprinklers.
  11. Who's this horsefeathering guy?
  12. I remember thinking at one point earlier in the year that there were 3 or 4 guys who might be able to close. Kyle Ryan wasn't one of them.
  13. Gotta' figure Wisdom and Ortega have the most to gain from the current situation? Has Wisdom made more money in the last 3 months than has since he was drafted in 2012? Short of some massive implosion they've both likely earned a look from another team if the Cubs were for some reason to release them (not saying that's likely) whereas 6 months ago they both had to be mulling the possibility of never seeing the majors again.
  14. 100% Agree - With Boras involved I just assumed Bryant was gone - Rizzo seems like he's on the downside but I feel with Javy the best is still yet to come. Trying not to head over to YouTube and spend the rest of the night watching El Mago clips.
  15. Sigh...I'd convinced myself that he'd be the one to not get traded. Obligatory "maybe he'll resign in the offseason" Sad day.
  16. Booger and JD were talking about nicknames the other day and I'd like to put forth that going forward Keegan Thompson should be called "Waterfalls" Thompson on air from now on.
  17. ...and never mind.
  18. So wouldn't it makes sense to put Arenado on here?
  19. Keegan Thompson looks like the dude from We're the Millers who was singing Waterfalls in the back of the RV.
  20. Lean over the plate Fat Tony!
  21. How did we get Martin for a G? He's a senior with no leverage who was intentionally picked for that price point so the savings from his slot could go to overslots elsewhere (likely Triantos and Gray). Fair enough but 1K seems like they're taunting him.
  22. Well damn, I feel bad for the guy now. I think the catcher is more to blame than Craig. You re-run that play with every single player that has ever played the game and 99.9999% or more of them either turn into the dugout or stand there and let themselves be tagged. Craig takes a step to tag Javy and Javy backs up - at that point Javy can't go anywhere - Craig takes another step - so does Javy - but again where can he go. It really unravels when the catcher calls for the ball and Craig throws it to him (which he shouldn't have done) - at this point I believe Javy's foot is in the batters box. The catcher (too lazy to look up who it was) could've tagged Javy there but tries to get Contreras and then yadda yadda yadda. I'm not saying Craig executed the play well but I think the catcher, at a minimum, deserves as much scorn as Craig.
